Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Broadview Heights

The place is very clean! The cashier and order person is a kind, helpful mannered young lady, and organized and clear. She assisted w my cell phone app usage, knowledgeable! Watched her being helpful, accommodating, quick w all customers. But, there is an obvious problem with the 2 kitchen cook staffers. Not reading tickets. Not trained? Lack of supervision? No attention to the Point of routine nor customized orders. If you ask and offer it you should get it!!! I drove a long distance to go to this particular site in Broadview hts. Specifically ordered grilled onions on 2 classics which is only way we eat them! Cashier confirmed this and receipt and bag ticket clearly showed this on order. Clear print. NO grilled onions. The burgers were drowned in heavy mustard. No ketchup Heinz they promote to be tasted or found on burger. Received the small end discardable heel of a tomato with the visible remains of the brown stem point showing. Should not have been used at all covered only about half the burger. Some of the lettuce was dark discolored. The food was fresh tasting, bland, nice appearance visually and neatly assembled, wrapped. The fries would be good if cooked properly, crispy. They are mushy, soft, need to be crisped. No golden color, pale. Portions fine. Shake nothing unusual. 1 size for that money and Bunny Walmart sold brand not worth it. Whole price not worth it if you don't get what you ordered or how menu markets is described. I can compare to 5 guys and their food is seasoned, tasty, accurately prides in customization and gets it right. Also the fries can't even compare to 5 guys. Service was quick at WBB but who cares if it is wrong. And nobody is going to unwrap hot to go individual items in closed bag to drive home for dinner to see if right toppings are there. May try the one right in my town close by. I will call the store from last night order. I observed several customers notify cashier about mix ups made by kitchen, like no salad dressing in bag and small salads in little paper boxes and pricing. She always tried to rapidly correct problems but nobody tells oversees, alerts the kitchen untrained workers to be accurate,...

Not what I expected! I expected more of a restaurant/bar scene. It is much smaller, more stainless steel table, high top counter... So let me first explain that there was nothing wrong with the flavor of the food. Again, not what I expected. I ordered the double bacon burger. According to the menu board picture, this is a monster! It came out and was significantly smaller than pictured, maybe the size of a Wendy's single. Flavor on the burger was phenomenal. I ordered the specialty tots, which came dusted in cajun seasoning & a side of the creole remoulade. That remoulade really is awesome. My wife ordered the Cheeesy & it was probably closest to the menu picture. Again great flavor, made fresh! She wishes she ordered some condiments for the burger. She also ordered a side of the mac & cheese bites, which were also phenomenal! A side of the Irish nachos, I was less than impressed. I think they were supposed to be like chili cheese kettle chips. But the chips were somewhere in between crisp & soggy, so kind of limp fried potatoes with a crispy edge? I also read a review about how crispy the chicken tenders were, so I had to try some of those as well. Mine were not very crispy at all. I would certainly go back if it were closer to me or I was in the area. At first walking in the establishment the building was filled with people which gave me high hopes. The line was filled up with 2 couples in front of us. For the length of the line it should have taken 10 minutes max to order. It all made sense on why the place was busy. Everyone was busy waiting for their food, not busy eating it.

I ended up waiting 25 minutes to only order my food. This is because the individual taking orders also was in charge of making milkshakes, pouring drinks. The online orders kept taking priority over people ordering food in the establishment. This slowed the line further. I then timed how long it took for my food to come out post ordering. I waited an additional 17 minutes to get my food.

The food was ok, not great not bad. They did mess up my friends order which they forgot to add bacon. We decided we didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for my friends refund. I blame poor management and processes for the long wait. This place should be called Waitlong Burgers.
