Mickey Malone's Tavern — Restaurant in Brockton

I’ve been coming to Mickey Malone’s for 10 years regularly, and Charlie has always been a fantastic bartender. He runs the whole place like a pro, making sure everyone’s taken care of. Having spent the last 10 years traveling all over North America, he has always been a standout bartender and I love the service here.

Tonight, though, I feel bad watching him cover the entire restaurant by himself while the new female bartender stands in the corner doing nothing for over 20 minutes. It’s disappointing to see, especially with two big Boston sports games on. There is some long term staff here that always takes care of myself and friends, that has declined severely. Charlie’s doing his absolute best to take care of everyone, but it’s clear he needs help and I’m unsure this place could have operated tonight without him. The service here has definitely declined with some of the newer hires, and tonight’s a perfect example. I’d suggest restaurant leadership take a look into this.

Hope they get it together, because Mickey’s is a great spot, but this kind of service is hard to ignore and this is 0 fault of Charlie’s, he did the absolute best he could. Very disappointing to...

Waitress ignored us for the whole meal, despite repeated attempts to get her attention. Did not check in, did not ask for refills, and was curt and rude. Gave me a bowl full of marinara instead of tomato soup (I always get this-- that's how I know it was marinara sauce and not tomato soup). She just walked around and talked to other patrons she wasn't even serving and stood in place pretending to be busy. We've been waiting over half an hour for the check and she is still ignoring us. We're hungry, we're still waiting for the check, and we'd like to go home. Hands down the worst service I've had since I don't remember when. It would be easier to teach a fish to climb a tree than to get this lady to do her job. We won't be coming back, which is a shame; because we've been coming...

Stopped in recently on our way to Jordan's Furniture.. WOW!! what a find! Soon as we walked in.. had a great vibe! Imagine it would be fantastic to watch a game there! Busy place - had great drink and beer selections. Started with appetizers of potato skins. I had a burger - was overcooked but they were great about trying again and got it perfect the second time. Daughter had the special of Chicken Caesar Wrap - it was the best one she has ever had! And I agree!! Sure wish you were closer to where we live!!
