honestly just not sure what the appeal is here, so, just so I understand the concept, we've taken a desert, that, even when made with conventional ingredients is, extremely rich and sweet and (like I care) fattening, but we've substituted custard.... I mean it's just over-effin sweet, I ordered the ummm, I think it was the James brownie (I see what ya did there) jackhammer....and actually the richness of it while being COMPLETE overkill was not an issue for me .....it was the too soft soft serve consistency. let me be clear the lava style chocolate center probably would have fit rite in in a blizzard or some other treat that who's exterior would have been near frozen.....but the sweet soft mush with a sweeter soft mush melty core? naw I'm good , now to be fair, maybe their other custard options are way different and way better , I dunno, this was my first time and I mean , just not impressed, also staff(drive through) was civil, but was a little too, teenage- version-of-Stepord-wives-kids meets the-hills- have-eyes teens for my liking, probably will just go to DQ or Baskin Robbins in tha future....oh and btw it just asked me the dollar range of the visit: 26 bucks for two people, three items (my jackhammer and two other frozen deserts, should've included a free gift with...
Read moreDear Andy’s Frozen Custard Team,
First off, I want to say that I love Andy’s and have been a loyal customer for years. However, I’ve recently had two experiences that left me deeply concerned — especially regarding food allergies.
On both visits, I ordered a Stolen Brownie Sundae with no cherry due to a cherry allergy. The first time, a cherry was placed on top. When I pointed it out, the team member attempted to scoop the cherry off and give it back to me. I had to explain that I’m allergic and that even traces can cause a reaction. Thankfully, she kindly remade the sundae.
Unfortunately, on my next visit, I again requested no cherry, but the sundae still had visible cherry juice on it. I informed the staff of my allergy and was asked to pull around. When a new sundae was brought out, the staff member who handed it to me seemed irritated, as though I were an inconvenience.
I’m sharing this because food allergies are serious and potentially life-threatening. Simply removing or scooping off allergens (like cherries or nuts) isn’t safe. Please make sure your team is properly trained on allergy protocols to avoid dangerous situations.
I love Andy’s and want to continue being a customer, but I hope this feedback leads to better training...
Read moreWhere do I begin? My wife and I LOVE going to Andy’s for our Saturday date nights. We went to the Broken Arrow location instead of the Tulsa one and I guess that was the mistake. I order the “Graham” and the strawberries WERE FROZEN!!! It’s like taking a bite into a rock! They didn’t advertise “frozen strawberries in custard!” I brought it back and politely asked what that was about; however, they told me they “don’t have time to thaw out their strawberries.” I was shocked! I’m thinking to myself, why are you serving this if you don’t have time to do it correctly…? Then I asked them to remake it without strawberries and they tried to charge me again? I was like “I just took two bites & I want an exchange.” Then the guy was cool and apologized and re-made it for free and I threw anyway the frozen strawberry one. But since when has Andy’s dropped the ball this hard? Not having time for fresh ingredients killed this experience for me. I don’t know if I “have time” for...
