Food was okay. But the staff were lacking customer service. My fiancé ordered an omelet without sour cream in which the waiter repeated that request back to him and wrote it down. Then when the food came out carried by another staff, his omelet had a large dollop of sour cream on it, which he then said “oh i asked for no sour cream” before it was even place on the table. She didn’t say sorry or anything, just walked away. A mistake is okay, it happens, but to not even acknowledge it? Then she came back about 2 minutes later with seemingly the same plate with sour cream on it and without a word, was about to place the same plate down, when my fiancé said again, “oh i said i didn’t want sour cream” and this time, she visibly looked really annoyed and without a word, walked away. The table next to us heard the whole thing and laughed when she brought out the same dish with sour cream. We were so confused. And then the staff was walking around looking at us and gawking like we were difficult customers. It was uncomfortable to sit there. Then finally, another staff brought out the omelette without the sour cream, and he didn’t say sorry either. Then our original waiter came around to ask about the food, and I said “good thanks, no sour cream this time” in which he just ignored it. I was in disbelief that three separate staff came to our table and not once did they simply say “oh i’m sorry about that” let alone even acknowledge the sour cream. It’s such a small request, but a huge bother to the staff. We were so confused about the customer service here. It was like walking into Abercrombie &...
Read moreI don't like giving less than stellar reviews, but I feel like people need to be aware this is really over-hyped. The service was great and the restaurant was cute, but it was so packed we had to park in a ditch on the street. We expected this meant it would be amazing. Unfortunately the food left much to be desired. It was barely seasoned and actually pretty expensive for breakfast food. I got the works omelet, which I expected to be huge filled with tons of filling. It was maybe a two egg omelette that covered maybe a 1/4 of the plate and had zero salt or pepper and the only filling I could taste or even see was mushrooms. The rest of the plate was covered with a salad with zero dressing and some small wheat type toast. My husband had the biscuits and turkey gravy and some eggs and I caught him salting and peppering the heck out of it directly after he took a bite. I think they try to look/seem pseudo-healthy so they refrain from salting and giving a hearty amount of food or using basically any of the ingredients that make a yummy breakfast to keep the calories down. Even my 6yo son, who is a bacon fiend, barely touched his chocolate chip pancake and spit out his bacon, said "it tasted burnt". The poor pancake wasn't even sweet, regardless of how much syrup you added, he picked out a few chocolate chunks and wasted the rest. Then we were shocked to find out when we checked out my black coffee was over $4.00. So we spent over $60.00 with just two adults and one child and left pretty disappointed. Don't be fooled by the packed parking lot. It was a below...
Read moreMe and my partner arrived at the restaurant on Sunday 4/30/2023. When we arrived, we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for a table, which is typical on Sunday mornings here. No big deal.
After sitting in the waiting area for around 20 minutes, we began to notice people who arrived after us were being seated. At that point, it occurred to me that the host didn't ask for my name to put us on the waiting list when we arrived.
I approached and informed her I don't believe I gave her my name. She gave a small apology and affirmed that she didn't remember asking for my information. She checked and confirmed my name wasn't on the list, which was no big deal. We all make mistakes.
However, after adding me to the list, she informed me it would be a 20-30 minute wait. Of course, I immediately questioned why it was now 20-30 minutes on-top of the time we had already waited. She tersely responded that there were a lot of people ahead of us on the list. I responded that there are people ahead of us because she forgot to ask for my name and enter my information into the waiting list. Making no effort to empathize with me and my partner, she coldly responded that "I was free to check if there was seating available at the bar." There of course wasn't, so we left.
This experience, and the unwillingness to express empathy or even attempt to correct the situation, is why me and my partner, frequent customers, will not be returning to this restaurant. We proceed to the Big Biscuit down the street and had a...
