i just saw response from corporate(owner) and contacted them. I will update this review with their response2 update1 went again last night. Calamari is not the same. Different sauce(which is better) but served on butcher paper, which is fine I suppose. It just presented as something you'd see in a Cajun joint. The calamari itself was dry and rubbery. The whole ones were hard to chew. I got the special 'Rockefeller butter fish. It was meh. The broccoli was excellent. My rice was good. Wife got blacked fish tacos. They were really good. Fish was well prepared and sauce an veggies on it were bright and fresh. The fries served with the tacos were exceptionally good. It's so hard to make crisp real potato fries. They were perfectly seasoned. As well.
Our server Anna was an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.
She described the dessert to us and I ordered the lava cake. They were out of lava cake.
Drinks have always been better than most anywhere. Very good!
With the rubbery calamari, meh fish, and no dessert I left a little disappointed. I still feel like going back, cause I like this place. But I'm thinking it's going down in standards like most other places. Ive seen so many good concepts yeild quality expectations to mediocre managers(the best way to kill a great restaurant). I'll give it another shot though.
Original review... I've always liked this place. This time was fair. We got there before 5 and it was really slow. We we're seated immediately. Ordered bang bang shrimp as appetizer and it was very good, maybe a tad slow. I ordered Cod Imperial and Mrs. Ordered blackened fish tacos. I got rice and broccoli as my sides. Broccoli was ok (meh). Cod was pretty good. Hers came out wrong (wrong dish completely) which was disappointing cause she was hungry. So we waited another 10 minutes or so for what she ordered. Manager did come out and apologize and said they missed the mark. I was in the industry for years and I feel like when a manager comes to the table to address a problem, they should do some beyond apologize (but that's my opinion). I tried hers and was put off. That was not like any blackened seasoning I've ever had. She said it was fine. I will certainly return. I like the place, and this was my first negative experience. My hope is if bonefish reads these, they will take it as an opportunity to address mistakes. My opinion as one who has worked every position in a restaurant including manager is: if a manager needs to get involved they should actually do something, like: deliver the correct food, offer a discount, follow up to see that the issue was corrected. I feel apologizing cause they missed the mark could have been done by the...
Read moreI have been coming to Bonefish since they opened. I have always loved everything about this restaurant. Tonight was my fourth bad experience with a hamburger so I finally decided to make a review. Bonefish burgers taste delicious btw. My personal preference is to NOT eat pink meat, therefore I order my hamburger cooked well done. A while back it came out pink and they remade the food for me for which I was thankful. The next time my burger was delivered to the table and the burger was literally missing from the hamburger. It was only the bun with mayo and sauce and lettuce, tomato and pickles, no meat. It was a bizarre situation. That had never happened to me before. The server took my food, never said sorry and returned about 20 minutes later with a hamburger. I was not exactly happy but did not complain about it. Another time my hamburger was not thoroughly cooked and I ate around the edges of it because I felt badly about wasting the entire thing and having them prepare an entire new one. However, tonight I placed an order for pick up and told the hostess I have had an undercooked burger in the past and to please make sure it is cooked well done. She said she would. I got home and took two bites of my hamburger and sure enough it was not thoroughly cooked. I ate around the edges once again then took the remaining beef patty from between the bun and finished cooking it in my oven. I ordered nothing but the burger and it came with a side which I chose the vegetable. The broccoli tasted great. But with a tip, this $20 meal was once again a disappointment. I have learned a lesson. Unfortunately, I will not be going to Bonefish for a hamburger ever again. I encourage you to go somewhere else if you like your burger well done (I'm kind of assuming most people do not eat well done meat due to the blood and uncooked fat making it more tasty and juicy-gross to me though) Next time I go I will just have to know I need to order...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Bonefish Grill, and I must say it was an exquisite seafood experience. From the moment I walked in, the cozy maritime ambiance set the tone for a delightful evening. The menu boasted an impressive array of ocean treasures, and each dish was a testament to the chef's culinary artistry. November provided excellent service as well!
The meal began with a fresh seafood platter that showcased the ocean's bounty in all its glory. The oysters were briny and succulent, the shrimp crisp and flavorful, and the crab legs incredibly tender. The attention to detail in the presentation was truly commendable, making the dish a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
For the main course, I opted for the signature lobster linguine. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the chunks of lobster were generously portioned, adding a rich sweetness to the dish. The accompanying sauce was a harmonious blend of flavors that enhanced the seafood without overpowering it.
What truly stood out was the restaurant's commitment to sustainability. The waitstaff was well-versed in the sourcing of their seafood, and it was evident that ethical practices were a priority. This added a layer of appreciation to the entire dining experience.
The dessert selection was a fitting conclusion to the meal. A decadent chocolate mousse with a hint of sea salt provided a balanced and satisfying finish. The friendly staff and impeccable service throughout the evening only added to the overall enjoyment.
Bonefish Grill is a seafood lover's dream come true. The dedication to quality, sustainability, and innovative flavors is a testament to their passion for their craft. Whether you're a seafood connoisseur or a novice, this restaurant promises an unforgettable culinary journey that captures the essence of the ocean.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking an extraordinary seafood...
