Texas Roadhouse is a solid spot to go to for the best steaks in town. Their steaks are always juicy and tender with nice seasoning but not overly-seasoned. They have a decent variety of appetizers, sides, steak, chicken, some seafood and etc. Surely, there is something for everyone here. They have smaller booths for couples and also extra large booths for larger families and tables and a large bar. The menu is decently sized, although they usually do not have any specials but the food they do have is so solid that people keep coming back. The star of the show are the fluffy white rolls that come out hot with cinnamon sweetened whipped butter that they will keep coming because all the staff are very attentive and efficient. According to Mashed the top things to order are the chicken fried steak and the salmon. The salmon is very good, however, Cheddars still has my vote on the best salmon. The least favorites according to Mashed were the prime rib, baby back ribs, and pulled pork. I would stick to the steaks. The steamed veggies are properly and not overly-cooked and they also offer many other country-like sides. The baked potatoes are popular and definitely not microwaved (note: for vegans, they do rub bacon grease/fat on the outside of the potato skin to make it crispier so beware) or you can go with the mashed potatoes that taste super close to homemade with yummy brown gravy. They also offer sweet potatoes. The house salads are always good and cold, yet they are sparse on the add-ons; I believe they do have cheese (sometimes too much of it) and tomatoes though. They have a decent variety of dressings and they do have Italian if you're like me and love Italian, although it's an interesting version of Italian (it's definitely not my favorite but it works). All water comes in glasses and they can give you lemon. All in all, it's a popular choice for couples and families that will guarantee good, quality food every time. The only negative I have would be the augmenting, long wait times (because they do not accept reservations). If you go early it may not be so bad. They now have a special wait line you can hop on by app but beware; even if you get on the wait list, after they call you in, you could still be waiting for quite a bit. They are not exact with their wait times obviously (it's just so busy) but we had to wait 45 extra minutes than what they told us a couple times and you'll see some people just head straight to the bar. There is only two locations I believe, in the Tulsa area, so it's definitely tight to get it there on time and everyone is just waiting for another to open to reduce that pressure on the wait times. They definitely need better management of the seating and waiting because sometimes you'll see seats empty for quite some time yet the staff is trying to organize it in a way for certain seats for certain groups of people, depending on the size, because they like to put couples in the area with the little booths and save the bigger booths for families and such (and save tables for disabled people) which means that there's odd and extra waiting based on how large the party is and their small amount of various seating they have at the restaurant. They only have so much of each type of seating and by far the amount of people is so great that they don't have the mass seating required. Hopefully, they can build another to decrease the pressure or remodel to build more seating somehow. If you can't handle the wait times I would recommend Outback Steakhouse or...
Read moreI have rarely been in this place for over three years now because three years ago everything went downhill, and I want to say it was new management But I can’t prove that. For the past three years, the handful of times I have gone or ordered food from this location. My drinks have been wrong. My order has been wrong. I received food I didn’t order or I don’t receive the food that I ordered at all. Dine in or to go there’s always an issue with my order, and it almost feels personal but I have heard from many people that it is indeed not, and a lot of people experience terrible service and tons of issues at this location. I know one of the managers brings her personal business and her personal drama into her work and will take it out on customers if she feels the need. very immature and she does not deserve the manager position that she has or had. After multiple times, my order has been wrong I finally started asking for refunds when I have proof that my order was extremely messed up in a way I couldn’t even think a restaurant could mess up orders. They would refuse a refund they would make me feel like I’m overreacting And nothing would ever be done about it except I have to wait an extra 30 minutes to an hour to get my food re-cooked or whatever the case was because they messed up once again. If you order to go, they will text you and tell you to text back when you’re here and they will text you when you order is ready but every time I’ve ordered to go nobody will come out to the cars you know with the curbside delivery that they have, Me and three other vehicles waited over an hour for our meals and they weren’t bringing him to our cars. We had to go up to the to go stand and pick it up there even though they sent a text saying to let them know when we’re here and what parking spot we’re in so they can bring it out to us. every so often I would get the text saying I wasn’t able to be located and wanted to confirm my parking spot again, but I was right there in the front and not one employee walked outside to even look. That’s when I finally went up there immediately got my food and everybody else in their car got out and they got their food as well. then I made my first online order tonight which was a giant mistake because I got the text saying that it was ready over 30 minutes ago and my boyfriend just got there and they didn’t even have the order made. They Didn’t even know I placed the order. I have never been the one to make reviews about places acting like a Karen but I’ve actually never had so many issues with one single business in my entire life and I’ve never heard of anyone else having as many issues as I’ve had. I’m officially never eating here again. I’m never spending a dollar here again and I don’t think anyone else should either because I promise you you’re just throwing away money to people who don’t care ab their job and don’t think about the customers one bit. GO TO TULSA HILLS. i’ve never had one thing wrong at the Tulsa Hills location and I’m officially going to be going out of my way entirely if I ever crave...

I honestly can’t remember the last time I came to Texas Roadhouse. I know I’ve been before—I just can’t recall the experience. That might say something already.
Walking into the restaurant this time, though, I had a revelation: Texas Roadhouse is the McDonald’s of steakhouses. From the moment you step inside, it’s sensory overload. The noise, the crowd, the chaos—it all hits you like a mechanical bull at full tilt.
Granted, it was a Saturday night, so the packed house was no surprise. But the lack of organization? That was frustrating. People were streaming in by the dozens, including groups of 10 to 15, and no clear system seemed to be guiding the madness. I found myself wondering what the legal capacity of this building is—and what would happen in an emergency evacuation. It felt like a stampede waiting to happen.
That was my first impression. I wanted to focus on the food and service, but honestly, I was so overwhelmed I couldn’t gather my thoughts, let alone take mental notes. Our own group was a party of 12, crammed into a tight corner. Once I was seated, getting out to use the restroom would’ve meant displacing half the table and blocking the already-narrow, congested aisles. So, no bathroom break for me—and definitely no hand washing. Yikes.
Now, let me talk about our server—because she was the MVP of the night. I didn’t catch her name (shame on me), but she handled the chaos like a seasoned rodeo queen. Yes, there were moments when our drinks sat empty a bit longer than usual, but considering the madness around her, I can’t fault her. She was professional, composed, and surprisingly cheerful amid what felt like total disarray.
As for the food: I ordered the ribeye combo with shrimp, and it was excellent. The steak was seasoned well and cooked exactly how I ordered it—medium well. The shrimp? A hit with everyone at the table. I only had a few, but they were definitely good enough to steal the spotlight. Even the rice was spot on. And my Coke? Cold and fizzy, just how it should be.
Since this outing was more about spending time with friends, I didn’t get to fully assess the food or cleanliness. I’ll save that for another visit when I can focus more on the details. But as for the overall experience, Texas Roadhouse clearly has a formula that works. The place was packed. If they were doing something terribly wrong, they wouldn’t be this busy, right?
So, would I recommend Texas Roadhouse change anything? That’s a tough call. Maybe what they offer just isn’t for me—and that’s okay. But judging by the full house, they’ve got their loyal herd, and they’re not going anywhere.
One last shout-out to our calm and collected waitress: you made all the difference, and I appreciate your grace under...
