My wife and I were in the area on Friday, July 11th, to handle some business we had and celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We were looking for a unique place to eat and at a restaurant we didn’t have where we live. We were from out of state. Using a Google search of places near us we found Cheri Ann’s Trattoria.
When we arrived we thought the building looked different as maybe it had been some other type of business in the past. We liked that. Upon entering we found the restaurant virtually empty as there was only 1 other couple dining and hoped that wasn’t indicative of something else but figured it was just the time we arrived which was around 4:30 pm.
Our server’s name I think was Roxy, that’s the name on our CC receipt, but unsure as she never introduced herself. Regardless, she provided us excellent service and the kitchen prepared our food in a timely manner with great presentation. We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer and ravioli for our meal that included a salad. The food was delicious and I must say one of the most impressive parts was the salad. Everything was so fresh and the dressings were full of flavor.
We were able to get in and out very quickly which was something we had hoped given we had an appointment down the road from the restaurant at 5:30.
I felt the only thing that was lacking was atmosphere . The inside of the restaurant was clean but very bland with nothing other than the music to make one feel they were eating in an Italian restaurant. I’d recommend hanging some appropriate pictures and other decor, installing some plants to offer some greenery, and having the big blank wall painted as the Italian flag. I’m in the restaurant business myself so perhaps I’m more discerning/critical than the average customer but again the food was fantastic and that’s what ultimately really matters. We definitely recommend this place and would eat here again if back...
Read moreOn a random Wednesday early in the evening, about 5:45 p.m., my wife and I decided to give Cheri Ann's Trattoria a shot. We've discussed visiting them in the past but kept forgetting to. We walked in without a reservation and got sat immediately. Within minutes, our waitress greeted us and got our drink orders. After skimming their menu on Facebook prior to our arrival, we already knew what we wanted.
My wife went with the chicken picatta while I opted for the chicken marsala. Before the meal, they serve you a frisee salad with baby spinach. We both selected made in-house dressing, for her she went with ranch while I went with their Greek dressing. Both dressings were delicious, but to me, the Greek dressing was beyond excellent. The salad itself was fresh with a few shavings of cucumber and some diced tomatoes.
Both of our entrees arrived at the same time, with visible steaming coming off each plate. Both plates visually looked great, and the taste matched the look. My wife really enjoyed her chicken picatta. The freshness of the lemon zest helped enhance the flavor of the sauce. The chicken was hot a juicy while the pasta was cooked al dente.
My chicken marsala was fantastic. We both agreed it was one of the best marsala made outside of a home kitchen that we've had. There were plenty of mushroom slices cooked in the sauce. The chicken in my dish was lightly battered and juicy. Both of our dishes were served with asparagus. I was surprised how large the stalks were but even more surprised by soft they were for being grilled. We both theorize they blanched the asparagus to get tender prior to finishing them on the grill.
As for pricing, each dish was under $20. Between the fair price and quality of ingredients, the fantastic flavor and great service, we both look forward to future visits to sample...
Read moreWow, what a gem! A coworker of mine had recommended this place so we had to check it out and we are so thankful that we did.
I love how small it is. It’s perfect for an intimate date or to sit down with a friend. I honestly get annoyed with how rude the public can be so I was happy that they don’t give the choice for an overly crowded dining room with loud conversations drowning out the music and each other. ( I understand that may come off as rude or grumpy but I am who I am lol)
The service was too good. I didn’t catch their name but I believe they are apart of owning the restaurant and they took good care of us. My husband and I both had a Pinot noir with our dinner. For the appetizer it was the bruschetta (pretty tasty, size was great for the price!) then we had salads before our entrees. The ranch and Greek dressing was delicious and house made! I appreciate the freshness. I had the farfelle w the herb crusted chicken and he had the pork loin. The size of the entrees were perfect! They were both really, really good. Idk where else you could get this quality around Tulsa? I had so much pasta left over but I wasn’t mad. I was sad I couldn’t taste the cheesecake because I’m a cheesecake gal and it was noted that it was 5th generation recipe so I really wanted it. I let them know that next time I would for sure get it because we would absolutely be coming back. They gave me a slice to take home and enjoy later :’) I was blown away! As a former server / restaurant manager I have to say this place is it! The food, the service, the atmosphere is a 12/10. I can’t wait to recommend this place over and over again. Thank you for choosing BA this to share delicious food and...
