Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Broken Arrow

We really like the food and have went to stake and shake on numerous occasions!!! But this last visit was awful!! We ordered 2 double cheese burgers and 5 kids meal hamburgers. We all got our food and not thinking to check the kids meals to make sure they were infact kids meals!! we all eat as you would when recieving your food, as i finished my meal I grabed the reciept to go pay for the meal and noticed the waiter had put all the meals as double cheese burger when asked why these are not kids meals he said my bad and took the receipt. Thinking he went to fix it, then a manager came and stated since the kids have already eaten the hamburgers we would have to pay for them as stated.. I continued to tell the manager that the waiter put the wrong meal down, that we stated we wanted kids meal burgers and was not our fault. Its was there employee fault. She then left and got another manager who then told us the same thing.. then after pretty much of 5mins of continuing to tell them this is not our mistake and we should not have to pay for the employees mistake. Then after being very rude and embarising us did the manager agree to change the meals to kids meals. This was the first time we have ever encountered a visit like this to stake and shake!! Steak and Shake is usually a great place, but not this one. My family and I stopped in while on a trip. The staff was disorganized at best. They allowed someone to bring a small dog in, granted I do not know if it was a support dog, but miniature dachshunds aren't a usual REAL service dog. 60% of the tables were not bused. One person finally came out to start clearing the tables while we waited. 5 minutes into our wait someone finally acknowledged our presence. As a party of 6, there was only one table open (dirty but vacant). It was cleared but not wiped down. The busser started to finally wipe down tables but was at the opposite end of dirty tables from the only one that could accommodate our party. The reluctant hostess asked him to skip to it. Instead of wipping it down he just threw the cleaning rag to her. The rag fell on the floor. Instead of calling him on the disrespect, the reluctant hostess picked it up off the floor. While that was bad enough, the hostess started wiping the table off with it. At that point we were done. Paying us to eat in this poorly run, filthy restaurant wouldn't have enticed us to even consider staying. One of my family members called the lack of hygiene out and was met with indifference. The food is usually good here, and the price is good if you order carefully and don't go crazy with shakes. This is where the good pretty much stops.

Service is mediocre at best and often times just downright pitiful. The wait at the front is almost always several minutes before a server/hostess even greets a party to be seated. Empty tables are rarely bussed and ready to be sat. Once sat, the server is usually several minutes before coming to the table to get drink orders. Once food is ordered the wait is generally 10 minutes or more (too long for this kind of food). The store is pretty much always dirty (greasy floors with fries and trash peppering the floor) and bathrooms typically need attention.

Management never touches base with guests to be sure everything is ok because they are generally working a position (cook, drive through, server). Because of this they are unable to assist in cashing out guests, bussing tables, seating people, quality control at the pass through window, etc. No one has any hustle and I swear the servers are half sloth. I may sound like I'm giving high criticism, but I know exactly how this store SHOULD be run since I worked for them for over 3 years and was the GM of this very location for...
