This subway location is very strange. The bread and other ingredients are usually OK but the customer service is unfriendly and the vibes are really, really weird.
An older lady with blonde hair waited on me today when I came in around 11am. I think she was the manager but I'm not sure, and if she had a name tag on I couldn't see it. I told her what size sandwich and what type of bread, and then she asked me "what meat?" but I couldn't understand her at first. I guess she interpreted that as disrespect because she went off on me and tried to kick me out of the store. She told me that I come in her store all the time and that I'm "always rude" which is strange because I only go in there to pick up Subway for my kid's lunch maybe once every four to six weeks (far from "all the time"). She said that there were two other nearby Subway locations, so I should leave and go to one of them instead. I told her that I have chronic health problems and am not trying to be rude and I even attempted to apologize for whatever she finds offensive about me (the look on my face, the tone of my voice, whatever). She refused to hear me and was just incredibly insulting and unreasonable. I had to deal with all of this from her on a day when I'm in so much pain I can barely function. Anyone who deals with chronic illness will know exactly what I mean.
This person had waited on me before and was always slightly rude, but I was not prepared for how she behaved today. I have frequent chest pain due to long covid, and although being in pain can sometimes affect the tone of my voice, I don't think I did anything offensive enough to justify the way she reacted to me. Plus, I attempted to apologize and explain myself but she dismissed me without taking even a moment to listen or empathize with me (there were no other customers there, by the way). The other employee who was present, a young woman with curly hair, was quiet and extremely kind. I really appreciated that she was the one who rang me up instead of the older lady. I left a good tip just because I genuinely felt bad about what happened, but I wouldn't go back to that Subway again if you paid me. They are definitely NOT there to make my life any easier, lol.
I am chronically ill but I am still capable of being reasonable, recognizing when I have upset someone, and apologizing. That lady who waited on me today...I guess her problems are a lot worse than mine and I really...
Read moreOrdered sandwiche, chips, cookies via DoorDash for my son as we were at work. Sandwich was made incorrectly was supposed to be ham/cheese/mustard and was made ham/cheese/Mayo When I called the store and requested a new sandwich to be made and delivered employee was rude and stated we don’t do that, she said I could request refund through door dash or bring sandwich back and they would make another. I said I’m traveling for work I have no way currently to bring the sandwich so what is my son to do for lunch. I said if I request a refund and I have to then come back in later to get another sandwich it will be made correct and free she said it absolutely will not be free. I asked to speak to a manager she claimed to me a manager I said I highly doubt that cause a good manager would never speak to a customer the way you are she said sorry have nice day and hung up on me. So not only are the people at this store rude, run by teenagers and incompetent of reading a ticket they don’t believe in fixing a situation. I will not be going back to this store or any other subway as the cost is ridiculous, they no long accept coupons. And this! Right here I’m having to type out on customer service instead of talking to someone. Trying to contact customer service...
Read moreI've been there 2 times in the last month. The first time I went up there with a friend and all ofbthe tables were dirty. Both times I went there were a few things wrong with my sandwich: the bread was underproofed and undercooked, they don't know the right potions for any of the sandwiches, they don't use the correct settings for toasting a sandwich, they don't do the right cheese portions, and they either give to much or to little vegetables and dressings. An indicator that the employees don't know what they re doing is if they have trouble cutting the bread. You can also tell that their cookies are over baked just by seeing how brown they are when they're supposed to be white-ish. Both times they were out of straws and small lids, and when I informed them they did nothing about it. They were also out of a few of the pops. After having worked at a subway 2 months prior, I know how things should be done. I was frustrated when they were making the sandwiches because I knew how wrong they were when making them. Go the extra mile to the one at 111th across from the Wal-Mart if you want...
