First up tbh only gave this one star cuz not an option for 0, don't know if anyone can relate. Second I used to work at this bueno for a little while so I know first hand all the issues it faces. Let me start with the fact that alot of these issues are due to the incompetent aerial manager over the store named Joe as he reads all these complaints (basically only thing he does tbh other than offer few angry customers some cheap coupons) and doesn't care to do anything about it. It's so hot there because he's too cheap to get A/C for that like others he wants GM to pay for it. He just doesn't really care about that store and how short handed and poor maintainence it is. Employees complain and he just ignore them because he's lazy. 2nd this will come as surprise to some but nothing is fresh there everything from guacamole to lettuce and tomato to the tortilla is frozen on truck and frozen for weeks sometimes months before being opened. Similar thing with the salsa it's not made fresh daily more like every 3-7 or more days due to incompetence of aerial manager and wanting to use all the stuff up even if it's possibly expired. Him and another 2 managers named Petra and Jenny even wanted to serve some taco meat I wouldn't feed to my dogs that was 3 weeks past due. Btw stay away from bueno on 71st memorial because Jenny got moved there and I wouldn't eat none her food might get a disease. And goodness she hit on like every Mexican guy that came through by themselves. Most of the other employees are fine they just have incompetent bosses above them that don't really care which makes them that way too by setting bad example. Asidemfrom a lazy employee named tiffany who has to be the most lazy and one the most incompetent people I've ever met in my life. All she due is talk to customers sticking her huge body out drive thru window blocking drive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAWFUL SERVICE , and I would like to start this off with the fact that yes I have worked in the food industry and know exactly how it is!! I called to place a pick up order and the girl on the phone acted like she couldnāt hear me and kept asking the same question before she just hung up on me. I go inside, the employees saw me walk in but stayed in the back on their phones. Stood there for about 3-5 minutes before anyone even came to the front (you can see straight through the kitchen so I could clearly see them all standing there on their phones and talking ). My Togo order had been placed for 10 minutes already at this point. I tell the girl Iām here to pick it up and she walks back to look at the computer and then tells me āoh it just popped up weāll start making itā. There was not a single customer in the store. And one person in drive through. I would suggest hiring people with good work ethic and not kids who just stand in the back and talk while on their phones the whole time. I ordered a whole lotta BOX it was given to me in a sack.. one of the girls didnāt even move she just stood in the back talking to someone on the phone. I would never recommend this location to anyone š itās been like this for months I donāt even know why I came! ( I will add the younger guy who prepared my order and did all the work was very apologetic for the wait as he handed me my to go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeuno has been a mixed bag the last half decade or so. When it's good, it's great. But it seems like a coin flip on whether your food is prepared properly. I don't blame the staff, as the service industry is already insane stress and work for fairly horrible pay, but I'm not sure what the solution is either.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's good sometimes and I wish it was always prepared we'll, because when it isn't, it makes me want to never come back, and that's a shame because Beuno has some great menu items and their salsa pairs so nicely with everything.
I'd also be okay with paying a little more if it meant the workers inside were happier and maybe as a result of happier staff, the food might turn out higher quality more often... Just a thought.
Be warned, like most fast food and Mexican food, most of the food is very rich in sodium, so you might want to steer clear if you have blood pressure or other health issues that might be worsened by high salt intake, or at the very least be mindful of how much you eat and maybe use less salsa. Most of the menu items teeter on being half or more of your daily recommended sodium intake, with the salsa being basically the other half... Very easy to accidently eat multiple days worth of sodium if you're feeling...
