I hate to be this jerk, but I think I'm going to have to be here. Granted, this is my second time visiting, but this has been my experience both times.
I really get the impression that no one knows what they're doing here. I think a lot of young highschoolers get hired here, and management is not doing well in training them. The first time I came here, I actually came to get a couple of things for my mom (it was an online order). They had her mocha ready, and it was fine, but they did not prepare her egg bites. I told someone, she seemed annoyed, and went away. I had to tell another worker there, who was very polite and who did prepare them for us. I asked if they had the sriracha sauce and they said they did. I waited and waited. Not really that big of a deal to me, but they came back and said they "couldn't find it". Anywhere. So because of this experience they gave my mom a $5 gift card and were very nice. Ok, no big deal this time, stuff like this happens.
Second time I come in, I come up to order a sandwich and a bagel. Usually in coffee shops they have the names of all the items in the display case next to the food. They didn't here at all, and the girl at the cash register didn't know the names of their menu items. I don't go to Starbucks that often so I don't have everything memorized and maybe expected someone that is working there to know the names of the items on the menu. It's fine if she's new, but she had this very comfortable air of not knowing what's going on, even scrolling through the items on her computer and saying, "Wow, we have a lot here..." I ask for a plain bagel along with the sandwich, and it's fine. But she comes back later and says, "This is the only kind of bagel we have."
I always try to be understanding, but in light of the situation before, I just kind of feel like no one knows what's going on in this store and that it isn't stocked enough to have a lot of basic things. I understand that it's new and that probably a lot of the workers are new, but I'm hungry and annoyed enough to write this review. So, 1) generally the people are nice, and 2) no one knows what's going on.
You've been forewarned. It's just a...
Read moreLet me set the scene for you of the day I had.
‘‘Twas a rough one. I wrecked my car. My wife informed me that she was leaving me. And you want to know the insult to the injury my dear reader? While working on my broken down car, god, karma, fate, or Lady Luck struck my toe, breaking it.
My mind went to a place lower than the darkest, stormiest cloud. I felt as though anything I did from this point on through the day was destined for failure. However, I had a caffeine headache and decided to take a risk, having 9 toes left to lose.
I hit up my friend Wilmer. He took pity upon my soul and agreed to take me to the nearest Starbucks since I couldn’t drive. If not for the toe, than for the fact that my car was still within the grips of mechanical failure.
We approached the destination. Wilmer suggested the drive through, however it was quite full and he already did enough for me. So I decided to go in. He offered to go in for me, however I was scared he’d try to pay for me. I may be pitiful in this moment, but I’ll be a scorned soul before I allow anyone to take said pity.
I entered in, my dear reader. And it was as though id died from a broken toe and entered the gates of heaven. With the angels being the baristas, baristsirs, and the baristems. Everyone was so friendly that I, for the first time throughout the gloomiest day of recent memory, smiled. A real, genuine, smile.
I was in and out in a hurry, though I wish I hadn’t been. A barista named Marissa Was one of the friendliest people I had ever met. There was another one for what he lacked in hearing, he made up for in spirit, hard work, and genuine empathy.
Praise god for this Starbucks, for making my day just a little bit better. Thank you Starbucks. Thank you...
Read moreThis particular Starbucks is my fave. It has high ceilings modern warehouse restaurant look but has sound-bearing dampers that keep the noise of echo away. The lighting is warm and welcoming. Bravo!
The attention to detail by the employees was top quality and surpassed all the other Starbucks customer service in the Oklahoma area that I have experienced. So FIVE stars on customer service and 5 stars on product care and five stars on value. This is the only Starbucks location that keeps all size products from small to large in stock at all times. BRAVO AGAIN!
I have been impressed with the quality of service, product, and hospitality! From the time In order my 10 complicated beverages and other food items for my family of 9 it seems the service here has expressed the perfectly made products with only a mere short 5 min waite. Now that is impressive! Other Starbucks have made me waite for 15 min and large mistakes on the order even when they were not busy and that shows a lack of care and importance in the work force at those locations. This location does not have that problem. All here are fast, curious, and have not messed up an order in the slightest. BRAVO again!!!
Thank you Starbucks and all who care at 121st west of Elm in Broken Arrow Oklahoma.
As we say on Tulsa Live "Go Get You Some Starbucks".
See you soon...
