HOLY MOLY! How did I ever miss this place everytime I go to to Tulsa! We did a spontaneous food trip… was in the area so I decided to look up Yelp and see where it would take me. Family was craving Vietnamese food so we decided to eat here or Pho Nhi. We voted this place bc it had the specialty foods like banh beo, banh xeo, banh bot loc, and bun Bo hue. We literally ordered a bit of what we wanted to eat. Sadly, they didn’t have any banh beo that day. But this place is in a strip, that was easily found from the street. It has plenty of parking and spacious inside. Bathrooms were clean. The front was ran by young kids and the older folks were in the kitchen. We asked our server what was good and he said anything on the menu. Haha. I said is the bun Bo hue really good here? He said YES! So I ordered that for myself. Hubby got the brisket pho, my two boys ordered the kids meal sweet and sour chicken and the other ordered a dish called spicy Carsin. Chinese food… I know. We also ordered banh xeo, banh bot loc with our meals. We wanted to try it all. Omg. The banh bot loc (clear dumplings) was so nice and chewy and had a good bite to it. The sauce (Mam) that went w it was perfect. Then we had the banh xeo. (Crispy crepes) and wow… it was so crispy and had a nice texture and flavor to it… it really tasted like home. Most restaurants will stuff it w a lot of bean sprouts but here they do it just right. And the best of all was their bun Bo hue. Omgggg. It was the best BBH I have ever eaten in Oklahoma. I am very picky when it comes to BBH, but my first sip took me back to nostalgia in Vietnam. It literally was so flavorful and full of spice, I couldn’t stop eating it. Every bite was packed w noodles, meat and herbs. They also gave me a side of sate and shrimp paste to go with it but it really didn’t need anything added. It was just perfect. I hope this is how their BBH always taste and is consistent every time we come. I loved it so much I told my hubby that we never to come here again soon bc I know I’ll be thinking about it. When it’s that good, I can’t stop thinking about it. If you are looking for delish, authentic bun Bo, this place is it. Trust me. I do wish it had the blood cakes and pork hock in it… that would have been the most perfect bowl ever. My kids enjoyed their food and we loved the service. They were very attentive and our cups were always filled. Thank you! When I went to pay, I noticed the to go orders were mostly bun Bo hue. Also, the pho we got, was legit. Broth was perfectly seasoned and tastes like pho. It wasn’t watered down like most places. Tons of meat and the bowl was huge. Overall, I would give this place a 10 stars if I could but 5 and a long review will do it justice. Can’t wait to go back for more BBH, banh xeo and banh bot loc. Hopefully they’ll have banh beo next time

BLUF/SUMMARY: For the area, the best pho and bun around. Locally owned establishment serving from scratch Vietnamese dishes at the right price. DETAILS: Been coming here for over 2 years now… can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had 5/5 or 10/10 pho’s and bun’s from Houston, San Diego, etc. Does this place compete with any of those? No, but for the Tulsa area, it is the best one around and the closest you’ll get to authentic pho and bun. Broth is what determines a bad, good, and great pho. This one is definitely good - clear but with strong flavor. It is made fresh daily from the mom/grandma in the back, that’s how you know it’s good. Pricing is decent - again, for the Tulsa area, it is spot on and of good value. Service is good - I know the owners now since frequenting this place. Some of the reviews I’ve read about the service seem harsh, but maybe I’m used to it. They are a sweet family and sometimes they do get very busy perhaps explaining the frustrations some customers experience. My only nit or maybe suggestions for improvement - 1) please add just a bit more toppings to the pho esp for the meats… they can be skimpy at times. 2) please add an option to add meat to the crispy spring rolls (I don’t even mind paying more). They have great crunch and flavor but are just mostly filled with noodles.

We ate here when we first moved to BA. We were not impressed with the food or service and had not returned until today. The lady that took our order back then certainly would not have won any awards for friendly customer service. The restaurant gets a significant number of very positive reviews; so we tried it one more time. My wife had the Bun Thit Nuong. She was very pleased with the meal and rated it as very good. I went with the Bun Bo Hue. It was not at all lacking in complex flavors and had just the right amount of heat. The lemon grass flavor was especially noticeable. Bun Bo Hue ingredients seem to vary greatly from restaurant to restaurant. There was no beef tendon in this soup, but it did have pig blood curd. There was an ample amount of beef, along with a couple of pork sausage patties. It came with bean sprouts, thinly sliced cabbage, a lime wedge, and a small amount of fresh basil. Jalapenos and a little cilantro would have been nice to have also. I thought it was average. The service here has not improved significantly. The same lady (probably the owner) was the only person working the cash register, but she was also the only person that took orders, including the call in orders. We have been in twice and we have not experienced the fast, efficient, friendly, attentive service that others have.
