Goody's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Brook Park

I am very upset my mother and father came home shaken they went to goodies as we all have been there. Usually everyone is nice polite courteous my mom had just brought my dad from the hospital from having a procedure and he just wanted a hot breakfast. they went there the food came out cold And my dad asked if we could please have hot food. He could not eat anything cold or lukewarm on his stomach. They told the Waitress and she was like no the food can’t be cold. I didn’t put your order in too long ago. However, my mom said the gravy on top was thick and cool to touch and my dad’s food was cool to lukewarm so the waitress said, I will have them microwave it. She then brought the food back to them my mom started moving her food around to check it and the waitress stated it is hot you can see the steam. My dad said well you guys just microwaved it. The waitress then asked, Do you want us to just make you a new one?, We will just make you a new one they said OK then my mom started feeling weird. and she noticed that the waitresses were looking at her weird then the owner the female owner looked her up and down and rolled her eyes and walked away the husband owner just dropped the food fresh food on the table and walked away without a word but then it gets worse. They were going to order me the same thing my mom had and bring it home however when they told the waitress they wanted to place a to go order the owner came out and said oh I’m sorry you will not be getting a to go order and my mom and dad said they just looked at each other like what’s going on and she said you already wasted two dinners so no thank you, and she was yelling it from another table with a close to full restaurant (how unprofessional )you will not be getting a to go order so my mom says she did not feel comfortable. She got up and left when my dad went to pay. He said why am I being reprimanded because I want hot food and she said the food was hot. He said no it was cold when it came out then it was microwaved and she said well you’re just showing off because you have someone new with you because my dad goes there all the time and my father told her no that is my wife. She has been here with me before and you guys were very cordial to each other and complementing each other on some items or whatever and then she just walked away. I have never heard my parents so upset and shaken. My Mom or Dad should not have been treated that way especially with my Dads health concerns and the terrifying morning that he had. This is ridiculous and I will make sure that everyone on all social media platforms are made aware. They just wanted to relax their minds a little and enjoy a bite to eat. Oh and by the way I will let you know my dad and my mom are a mixed couple. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. I don’t know, but we used to frequent there a lot me with my friends, my dad would go solo, that was on of his favorite places never again.

UPDATED Everything that was said happened .You can get an attorney because I’m writing a correct review so threatening me And the defaming our character is absolutely horrible. You should be ashamed of yourself to lie on us like that. None of those things that you’re saying happened. Everything is true once again you were very rude to us. You were yelling at us from across the dining room stating that we could not order takeout because we wasted two dinners already because the food came out cold everything I’m saying is true. get your attorney I have an attorney as well. No one is harassing you. I am allowed to make a review and that is what I am doing. Please do not continue to lie on us. We are not rude. We have never been rude and we are business owners as well and we respect businesses when they deserve respect you guys were very disrespectful to us especially doing a very hard morning that we had before we got there we had no fight in us to fight. We said nothing to anyone. My husband had just got a very bad diagnosis and we were not there to fight. We were there to relax and...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Goody's Family Restaurant for breakfast and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home.
