I Came here with my mom during their second weekend open. At first we thought they were closed since the parking lot was completely dark (the street light was apparently out), but they were open.
We dined in and ordered small plates of the fonduta and short rib arancini, and got a Capo salad to share. Though the menu said the small tapas were sized for one, our server assured us they would be fine for two—and they were perfect. The fonduta, in particular, was massive; we couldn’t finish it and even had to ask for extra bread. It originally came with cheesy crostini, but the garlic bread they brought when we asked for more was even better. Next time, I’ll ask for that from the start.
The arancini came with two large, meaty rice balls that could easily be shared by four people. I personally thought they could use a bit more cheese in the rice mix, but the flavor was still great and my mom loved them.
Surprisingly, the Capo salad ended up being the star of the meal. It was fresh, hearty, and a great portion size. It's perfect for sharing or as a light meal. I definitely want to order it to-go for lunch in the future.
The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, though a bit dim. It's small but I imagine most people will just be in out so that's fine. They have a small table of interesting stuff to look at and buy while you wait such as olive oils and different seasonings. The owner chatted with us, and the staff was genuinely friendly and attentive.
We didn’t try the pizza this time but are looking forward to it. The big pizza oven looks promising, and their specialty pies sound amazing. They also offer grab-and-go slices, which is great for a quick bite.
All in all, a great experience. We’ll definitely be back...
Read moreThe food here is a must-try. I had never heard of deep fried spaghetti before (looks like fried mozz) and it was insanely delicious. The hot honey drizzle, wood-fire pepperoni pizza was cooked perfectly and hit the spot. Also, highly recommend the lamb skewers. John (the owner) is clearly passionate about his menu and took the time to demonstrate their upside-down tap machine. We...
Read moreEverything was delicious! Great apps to share - fried spaghetti, lamb skewers both so good and love that the bruschetta has olives in it! The standout for me was the penne vodka, which is what I use to gauge any Italian restaurant - the sauce was perfection! Needs to be jarred and sold! Loved the ambiance and decor and attention to detail. Can’t...
