Smoothie King — Restaurant in Brookhaven

Ian regular at smoothie king but today was my experience ever!!!!!After waiting 35 minutes for my smoothie because the manager who apparently has no name was bashing and belittling the new employees younger employees on staff saying that she was better than them she was more educated then them and she was just there to teach them the way making them feel like they were nothing one employee was crying the other was pregnant I don’t think this is any Way to represent smoothie king after leaving with my drinks getting to the car all the drinks taste like powder so I took them back inside to get a refund and the manager who has noName told me that she couldn’t give me a refund told me that Karla could give me a refund so she called the manager I guess the other manager. After waiting 20 minutes to get my refund She began recording me and yelling and screaming in the store and threaten me and told me to leave the store I came to smoothie king to get a smoothie that will give me the energy for my work out for the day instead I got bad energy bad attitude and also felt really bad for the employees that were there being miss treated by their superior I think smoothie king this needs to do a better job at evaluating their managers and the people that they put a position of power because I don’t think this is what the company to represent especially when the manager says they have no name after asking her repeated...

tl;dr - do yourself a favor and go across the street to Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

I hadn't been to Smoothie King in a while but decided to give it a try because I just had Tropical Smoothie Cafe the day before. The Smoothie was okay but not as good as TSC. The biggest issue was at prime lunch time, they had a single employee working. She did her best and was super pleasant despite being overwhelmed by the crowd, but it took a long time to be served and have my smoothie made. Extra frustrating is the fact that the smoothies here are more expensive than TSC, yet somehow they always have at least two people working and they had 4-5 working when I went there for lunch yesterday. In yet another apparent cost-saving move, it seems that Smoothie King has stopped using insulated foam cups and switched to plastic. I've got news for them...putting an Ice-based beverage in an uninsulated cup when it's 100+ degrees outside is not a great idea. My smoothie was liquid before I got home.

I do not suggest ordering from here unless u come in and watch them prepare it for u… i placed my order online for a smoothie bowl 15 minutes prior before arriving.. walked in it wasn’t prepared not only that the woman came from the back and started touching the fruits without any gloves on. Corporate was contacted… I hate to do this because when it comes to these things it’s not the owner fault. I’m sure all employees are trained when it comes to working.. and All it takes is one employee to not do their job properly. Hopefully the manager pulls employee to the side and let them know that they represent their business and that when dealing with food keeping your hands washed and with gloves...
