I’ve been working here for the past 4/5 years and have never experienced any type of racism or discrimination against me or any of my coworkers since working here. I’m Hispanic myself and have witnessed many different ethnic backgrounds in our work establishment so the comment from Joseph is completely wrong and false. It’s not just all whites and Asians as he claims and if he says that he’s been coming here for the past 2 years he would know that in those years this work place was predominantly Hispanic. Also assuming that the workplace should be predominantly Hispanics is kind of disrespectful. So shame on you.

Making a harmful false narrative about the owner with intent of hurting the business is unacceptable. Especially since the owner wasn’t even there that day and I’ve worked from opening to closing so I would have witnessed everything. Betty would have never done something like that. She treats all her customers with respect and kindness. Also saying “old Asian lady” is extremely vile and offensive what is wrong with you!?

Just wanted to put that out there and shut down whatever story he tried to make up and make others hop on to harm the reputation of the owner and business. Taichi Bubble Tea WAS my go to spot for bubble tea. After my last visit I will NEVER go back. On 05/16/2021 I did curbside pickup to prevent having to go inside. I waited about 15 mins and no one came out so I went inside to see about my order. I saw it sitting on the counter so I asked a lady to please help me. She asked for the name I said "Mitchell!" She said "Michelle?" I said "No, ma'am, Mitchell." She looks puzzled and goes "What's the phone number?" I say "678-...." and she goes "yeah, Michelle" and I said "It's Mitchell, but whatever." I leave. At this point I'm shaking because I'm so angry and upset. I get in my car and decide I'm not okay with it. I double check the receipt to make sure I wrote Mitchell when placing the order. I did. Clear as day on two receipts it shows my name. I am a transgender man so hopefully you can understand my frustration! I proceed to go back inside. I go up to her and show her the receipt, I go so far as to point at the name and pronounce it and even spell it for her. She looks at me and goes "Michelle" I was just shocked.
