Rooms: 103 & 302 Check In: 5/19/16
Customer Service: When I checked into the hotel on Thursday night the "night auditor" black make no name tag was very professional and pleasant. He engaged in a conversation with us about our visit and stay at the hotel. So much kudos to the nice auditor. I must say the daytime crew is very unprofessional in some of the rudest people I've ever met in my entire life. Due to the lack of professionalism the stay was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. The front desk representative by the name of "Lateesha" she is a short female with braids in was the rudest of them all.. She cursed me out multiple times, stated she was trying to be nice in didn't want to get ugly with me. The guest services manager "Tanisha Branch" was horrible I cant believe they have a person like that in a leadership role. She does not lead a team by example or set the tone as a manager of a business. Due to the lack of leadership on her end I totally understand why the employees act the way they do.
My Complaint: I was so disappointed at the level of service me and my peer received during our business stay at 1840 Corprate Blvd , Atlanta GA. My complaint started around 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2016. when I woke up to a bed full of bugs my body was bit up from the ants that were all in the bed under the sheets. Lateesha sent several housekeepers down to 103 to look in they verified there were ants and bugs in the bed nothing was still done. The hotel staff looked at me like I was stupid and didn't show any concern in reference to the issue. Lateesha stated 1:30 I had to speak to a manager on Monday or go check into another hotel. They called the police on me because I got loud with them due to me waiting almost 2 hours in the lack of professionalism. They kept my money and charge me for the rooms I paid them by cash so I couldn't call my bank. I will be speaking to a lawyer in reference to this matter. I'm going to take legal actions because the way I was treated was not good at all. How can you make someone pay for room when the mistake was on the hotels end. The room also smelled like somebody just had sex in there before they check me in. I even reached out to their general manager Robbie Pattetson via social media with no response. Due to this inconvenience my business trip was not successful in my company lost thousands of dollars. If someone within this corporation is in a leadership role please reach out to me I have videos and photos of the bugs in my bed as well as the bites all...
Read moreMy instinct said ‘Don’t stay here’. I should have listened. I was very tired so I checked in. I had stayed at a very nice and comfortable Microtel Inn in Knoxville, TN so I assumed a similar experience. Not so! First, the rooms were very disappointing! It took three rooms before I finally got a room I could stay. The first room had a major, noisy link in the bathtub. There’s no way this room should have been rented. You would assume this maintenance problem would have been so major the room would not be offered at all until it was repaired. So, on to the next room. This was beyond unacceptable. As a single woman traveling alone I would never expect to receive a room with no lock on the door! No lock. A hole where the deadbolt should be. This door could be opened with one finger. Amazing. Not to mention the carpet right at the entry door was ripped back exposing the bare concrete! Really? Next room was offered to me as an upgrade. At this point being as tired as I was I didn’t care about that all I wanted was a clean room with a bed. This upgrade room had a small kitchen area. Ok fine. However, immediately upon opening the door the smell of fish was overwhelming. Really? Now this is getting so amazing I’ve got to follow through with this adventure. On to the forth room! Fine. I throw my thinks down finally have a nice shower and I’m ready for a nice sleep. If you’re interested in sleeping don’t stay here. Next,I’m assaulted by the drum noise and pounding music from a club next door directly outside my window. Closing time is about 2am I assume which gives me plenty of time to kill so I write this review before I can finally hope to get the rest and sleep I was so looking forward to. Ridiculous. By the way, I never write reviews but I was just too amazed not to share these facts with you so hopefully you’ll read this and take a pass on the place. I almost forgot to mention after receiving the fourth key package the poor front desk employee FORGOT to write the WiFi code on it for me. So I won’t be able to use the free WiFi. No surprise there. By the way, the elevator reeked. Some awful human odor. Smelled like a gym that had never...
Read moreSooo.. I am not usually the type to write reviews, especially bad ones. And I try to take each review with a grain of salt, but this was ridiculous on so many levels. I arrived at around 3:45pm. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm. The guy at the front said that the rooms were not ready and asked that I wait about 10 to 15 minutes.. that short period of time turned into almost an hour wait for my room, apparently several rooms hadnt been cleaned yet because there were atleast 6 other people waiting. Whats funny about that is, I assumed that 2 young ladies chit chatting in the lobby were also waiting for their rooms. Come to find out they were maids just sitting around. The lobby had a leaky roof and they had buckets and towels on the floor. When I finally got to my room it was definitely not the best. The base boards on one section had been removed and exposed the chipped paint. The walls were dirty and there were spider webs everywhere. The AC unit was set on 74, I attempted to adjust it and it wouldnt budge. After about 15 minutes of it blowing, it made a loud clunk noise then flashed "br" and went off. I tried to turn it back on and it wouldnt work so i called the front desk. They sent the engineer up, he took the face plate off and said it wasnt going to work and said he would try to find another room. By this time I was extremely tired and didnt feel like doing all of that so i said dont worry about it and i chose to stay in that room. The beds are NOT comfortable at all. The only thing that was ok was the bathroom, so i thought, until i noticed the large patch of MOLD that they had attempted to paint over behind the door (which explains why i was having allergy problems all night) . Oh and what i didnt notice until i went to leave, was the red spot on the cover of the bed. This place needs new management, new staff and a total revamp. Please dont let the fact that it is in "Buckhead" make you think it is ok.. Its not. I know the price is decent, but its totally not worth it.
oh and the toilet...
