This used to be the best Starbucks in the area. The staff was on target, making great drinks, recommendations, and had these positive upbeat attitudes towards customer service.
Lately, several employees in the afternoon and evening shifts have made this location a shadow of what it once was. I spent about 4 minutes waiting at the cashier counter while the staff person spent their entire time with their back to me making other orders. A "I'll be right with you, so sorry for your wait," goes a long way.
The staff don't seem to have a sense of urgency around them with up to 10 people waiting inside for their drinks as well as the drive-thru traffic. I understand that people can only move so fast compared to demand etc, but that points to leadership problem for the shift leader and store manager as "backup" isn't called in to handle demand like any other restaurant when they are understaffed.
The attitude seems to be, I'll take however long I need to while you wait for the thing you already bought.
I'd really like to see this place turn around. I haven't seen Ben around - it seems when he was here things were a lot more snappy and just all around good. I only name drop as a reference point as to when things started going downhill. Not sure if he's a morning shift manager now or just gone. It seems all the good staff has left.
Right now it has been several minutes with no customer action between the order fulfillment staff and the people waiting with bored faces about 5 feet from them.
Starbucks has a great personality usually. Let's turn this place around so I can leave a better review.
This place is headed towards being as bad as the one down at the intersection of N Druid and LaVista across from the Dunkin Donuts. That place was almost shut down due to sanitary concerns... I'm comparing customer service here though. The customer service stunk there as well.
If I have to wait for my drink that's fine - but at least show basic customer...
Read moreThe employees here are SO unpleasant. Twice now I’ve placed a mobile order, out of ease to not have to rattle off my order to someone and to pay with the app, and both times the employee in the drive thru has SCOLDED me for placing the order on the app and then not waiting 8-10 minutes to come pick up my order. One employee said to me with so much attitude “you placed this order two minutes ago. Next time don’t bother coming to the drive thru until it’s been at least 10 minutes”. How is this ANY different than ordering my order through the speaker at the drive thru? If I place the order not on the app will you also make me wait 8-10 minutes? There is no logic to the request but outside of that the attitude is so unecessary. I used the mobile app out of convenience - not because I expected the order to be ready immediately. I think it’s also nice to keep in mind that some people have speech disabilities or other disabilities that impair them from being able to order. A mobile app is life changing for these people and scolding someone for showing up to pick up their order a little early is so incredibly rude - especially when each time I’ve pulled up I’ve been perfectly happy, pleasant, and understanding that I placed my order only 2/3 minutes prior and it may not be ready. The employees here need to get a grip and some...
