HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! After attempting to order food online through the panera app for 30 minutes to no avail, i called in to place a pick up order. It was approximately 7:30am and Andrew answered the phone. After i asked to place an order for pick up, there was a sigh and i was placed on hold for 2-3 minutes. He finally came back to the phone and asked what i wanted to order. As i proceeded to tell him the name of the salad i wanted, he cut me off to say "we dont have that!" I then began to name the ingredients in the salad and he says "oh you mean...".....I was off by one word! Being as though he is an employee who hopefully reviews the menu every single day, he couldve simply provided better customer service as he is paid to do and said "im sorry im not familiar with the item youre referring to, but maybe you mean..." Moving on, i proceeded to continue with my order only to finish and be told that they are really trying to refrain from taking over the phone orders and that orders should be placed online. I explained to him that i did attempt to order online for 30 minutes prior to calling and had no luck. His attitude was nowhere near friendly, he lost a sale for his particular store, and is now receiving an honest review exposing his lack luster customer service. I work in healthcare (customer service). There are tons of ways that Andrew couldve handled this situation better. Its not always about what you say, but how you say it. I hope that soon he receives training in how to treat, speak to, and assist potential customers. Stop taking life so personal and live. You never know who is on the other end of the phone, what they are going through, nor how your negative persona may affect them in a negative way. I am not bashing Panera, but Andrew at this store needs...

Read moreCafe #202568 This is a customer service comment.. nothing more. I will not be returning to this location as it is the only one who doesn’t value their customers. I understand there are unexpected issues that arise or some things may be out of stock sometimes. Their kiosk were down. After multiple customers notified them of this no signs or any attempt to reboot the machine occurred. The front cashier stated to a elderly man (who was having difficulties as well) very nonchalantly and slightly rudely said, “well if it’s not working there’s nothing I can do”. We were concerned because it would get to the point to let you pay but then “time out”. The wait time for my food was very quick and I can tell by the quality being low. My frontega chicken sandwich didn’t have the cheese melted (just 2 blocks of cheese sitting on the sandwich) and The onions were barely cooked. After eating a portion I asked the front cashier for a to-go box and she directed me to the cooks (although she was 3 feet away). When I asked the cooks 1 of them tried to hand me a sheet of paper to fold it in instead of the container I asked for. After I declined, she stated they didn’t have any. I visually seen a container and pointed to it and the other cool handed it to me. I thanked her and walked away. As I’m walking away I heard the cool who tried to hand me the paper say “she was rude”. Now, I am aware of how a customer of any kind is to be treated. Customers like to feel welcomed, respected and valued. Nothing has to be over the top and simply a smile and an apology can go along way.
