Plaza Nueva Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Brooklyn

This place was extremely rude. If I was the owner I would fire the manager and servers. We came as part of an engagement party of 15. They server seemed very nice. She asked us what we wanted to drink as soon as we got there. We only had five menus out of 15 menus needed . We asked what kind of Drink specials they had. One of the servers kindly sd the margarita pictures or $20 but only for two flavors The guava and the regular lime. My mother ordered the line frozen picture and we ordered the guava picture. The food was pretty good I must say . When it came time to pay we noticed that they charged us $29 for the lime picture . When we asked why they said because it's not on special . We told our server that the other server did tell us that the line and guava were on special. She said well it's not and was very rude. She said I don't control the specials very shrewd. We asked to speak to a manager and a young man turned around and said yeah we have managers. Why? What's wrong? We kindly told him that we were told the lime Margarita pictures were $20 on special. He said that no one said that and we were pretty much lieing . Not even sure he was a manager as he did not look like one . Everybody in the party all 15. I was clearly heard the server tell lime and guava .Not only did she tell us Lyme and kwave but she said it twice because I personally wanted to make sure and said so lime and guava correct and she answered yes. Well I need to say we weren't going to get anywhere with this pretend manager and didn't appear they had a real manager there that night. So we just went ahead and paid the $9. I don't want to spend too much time arguing over $9. It wasn't the money. It was the deception and lie that we had a problem with . They added 22% tip to our extremely large bill because we were a party. If they didn't, they would have gotten a 1% tip for their s* service and way that they lied and deceived us and then called us liars . I used their restroom before leaving and it was completely unacceptably disgusting . There was toilet paper everywhere on the floor it smelled and there was a dead roach in the corner by the trash can. I wouldn't eat at this restaurant or even have a drink if you paid me. Be careful if you do decide to go here and record your interaction with your servers or they will...

Were regular customers until yesterday. The previous visit I had a gross experience and should have reported the problem. Instead, I left quiet and grossed out. Asked for queso sauce on my enchilada. It was incorrectly covered with chipotle cream sauce. The waitress caught the error right before giving me the plate. She brought out another plate shortly thereafter. I took one bite and realized that they did not remake the incorrect dish, but wiped the sauce off the enchilada and tried to cover it up with queso. The inside was filled with the wrong sauce, and to top it off the was a very large wipe mark off the center area of the plate. Yep, they not only tried to cover up the sauce, but they used a kitchen rag on my food. Waitress was embarrassed when we pointed out that we knew what happened.

Fast forward to yesterday. I went with boyfriend and he ordered dinner. I couldn't get myself to eat anything but some guac. The manager was actually serving us. My boyfriend told her we needed to talk to her about something. She told us she couldn't right now. She returned to our table three times. He asked one more time and she said not now. We asked for our bill. She waited in the wings, but refused to talk to us. All I wanted to do was tell her about the cooks technique of wiping patrons food. I wanted NO REFUND. It was insulting the first time when the cooks wiped my food, but to have the manager refuse to talk to us was so...

We don't even know where to start...If we could give them zero stars we would. The two employees (the cashier and the young lady who served chips and salsa), had an excuse for everything we brought up, along with another customer checking out with us. It was our first time there and we will never go back to Plaza Nueva.

The moment we arrived, we tried to place an order, but in return was told by our waitress from the cooks they were unable to make a veggie taco then didn't even care I wasn't going to eat. The queso came out cold, twice then heated in the microwave and we were told it wasn't ready, but they were serving it anyways. The young lady checking us out, asked how everything was and we told her the situation, but she said she was sorry they were just really busy and the excuse for the taco was because our waitress was new, but what does this have to do with the cooks telling her they couldn't make it. The cashier could care less. The service had nothing to do with them being busy, i.e the queso being cold (which was paid for), allowing a customer to leave without eating, etc. The thing was, the restaurant was only half full. We have gone to many Mexican restaurants in the area with better quality food and service, who accommodate their customers. We were highly disappointed in our overall experience!
