All u can eat 🐠, 😲 delish!
Then there was the next time, a pick up order. Not satisfied. With hostess and then the bar keeper took two calls while not even an acknowledgement. I smiled, waited a little more, then she just looks at me. Awkward!
Yes, I have a to go order? Please?
Oh yeah, the Chile? Yes, that's me, and wow, court tell me where it was spicy or not. Explained my ulcer and that my jaw was jacked, couldn't clinch down at all. Needed a soup that I could handle. Crickets Paid and left. Got back to where I was staying. Sat down, dipped soon in and placed tip of soon n in my tongue 😛 to taste and ohhhh boy! 🥵
This tongue doesn't handle spicey very well. Not my fault, tried tried hard plenty of times. Don't like it. I had to give up on the because I tried again, this time it was filled with large chunks of broccoli. That's I could not eat, so I slept up what little I could.
It was Scrumpdidilyishious!! My taste buds were doing the jidderbug. I recommend it highly!! But, NOT if it requires chewing!! I was starving, tired, disappointed and mentally drained. Staying in a motel is no joke! Depending on local restaurants that has good service and standards is difficult to find nowadays. I'm a 30+ year retired Server, been in the customer service industry my entire life, since I was 16.. Im old school, apparently. (I'm circling around the after 40 something) I would never allow that type of behavior on my floor. Never!
So, Awesome food!! Waitstaff could use a refresher course on customer service. Just sayin'. Oh and smile at your customer as soon as they cross your sight for heavens sake. After all, the prices are high, you could give one of those bright smiles away now and then. It's free. And I can almost guarantee you'll get one...
Read moreTraveling thru the area and decided to stop and relive some old memories. Last time I was in this place was 1980 and it was then known as 'The Hideaway Bar'.Back then, they were renowned for their 'wet burrito'...The food was good but not spectacular.I had a bacon cheese burger and it came smaller then a Culver's bacon deluxe had no toppings and the fries could have fit in my fist. Not what i was expecting. For the money i spent on it,i could have got a bigger portion down the road at Wendys.. The interior was different from my recollection, but that's to be expected and the servers were nice. My only qualm is the portions could be way more generous and more attention could be spent on presentation (like putting toppings on my burger and making it bigger).I think this would set it above the rest and would have garnered more stars from me.Over all,our experience was pleasant and I possibly would stop again but I really think focusing on what I have mentioned would change...
Read moreAmazing place! A must visit!! We sat at the bar. It was our first time there and we told the waitress and then the owner who was sitting there eating a prime rib special welcomed us. Jimmy! He is such a kind guy and told us a little bit about the backstory of how he purchased the restaurant from his father. Told us about all of the cool decorations in there, how he used fencing to put up for wood on the walls which looks really cool. He is semi-retired and he is able to because of his fabulous staff! It was so much fun talking to him. The food was absolutely fabulous! We just came in for a drink but decided to try something from the menu. I ordered ahi tuna off the appetizer menu and my husband ordered chili cheese fries. Both which were yummy. The bartender was attentive and made sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend coming here people!! It's always busy so I'm really glad we were able to squeeze in in...
