Long Post Alert So I've been to Milan's about 5 times in the last 10 days! Being a Philadelphian who's lived in Delaware since 2008, I honestly think Milan's has the best cheesesteak in Delaware. The customer service is great as far as being greeted and welcomed when you come into their business. They treat you very respectfully from my experience. BUT, the last few days I've had an issue with my order. I went there Sunday and walked in to order the cheesesteak egg rolls. Went to the car for 15 minutes and went back into Milan's only to see the cook dropping my egg rolls in the grease that I had ordered 15 minutes ago. The cook somewhat apologized and i simply had to wait. Fast forward to yesterday and the EXACT same thing happened with the exact same order and the same cook who again apologized and said I'm just dropping your egg rolls after I waited in the car 15 minutes. So today my co-workers decided to order from there because I've been raving about the food. I call in and order. I ask for my total. I write it down. I get there and the total is like $4 lower than what I was told on the phone. I asked why the difference and of course they didn't put my onion rings on the order. When I let them know that , the cook swore me up and down that I didn't order onion rings which is obviously incorrect or I wouldn't have questioned the total that they gave me when I arrived. ANYWAY, after a little calm back and forth with the cook the owner Milan comes out to talk to me. He apologized for my experience and agreed that 3 incidents like that was unacceptable. Gave me the onion rings on the house and told me to give him a heads up the next time I am coming. He handled the issue with grace, understanding and the utmost professionalism. I was going back even before he did all of that but his kindness and the way he handled the issue was very impressive. So shout out to the staff there including the cook he wasn't rude or anything at all. Someone just dropped the ball with my order. My food was really good as usual and I highly recommend them. Also, I understand business and expect a few hiccups in the beginning stages of opening up a new venture. I know with a owner like Milan, they will get better at the day to day operations. They already have the food situation working in their favor!...
Read moreIndulge me as I embark on an odyssey of flavor, a gastronomic adventure that transcends the mundane to reach the sublime. Picture, if you will, a symphony of sizzling, succulent sensations dancing upon the palate, beckoning the senses to revel in their harmonious embrace. Such was the experience bestowed upon me by the divine marriage of a delectable chicken cheesesteak and a sumptuous fried fish platter.
Let us first extol the virtues of the chicken cheesesteak, a masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship that elevated the humble poultry to celestial heights. Tender strips of impeccably seasoned chicken, lovingly ensconced within a pillow-soft bun, whispered promises of savory bliss with each tantalizing bite. The cheese, a molten cascade of creamy decadence, melded seamlessly with the succulent meat, creating a symphony of flavors that enraptured the soul.
But lo, dear connoisseur, the feast did not end there. For alongside this gastronomic marvel lay a platter of fried fish so sublime, it seemed to have been plucked from the dreams of Neptune himself. Each golden-brown morsel boasted a delicate crunch that yielded to reveal moist, flaky flesh within—a testament to the artistry of the chef and the quality of the ingredients. With each forkful, I was transported to the briny depths of the ocean, where the essence of the sea mingled with the whispers of distant shores.
Together, these culinary wonders formed a veritable symphony of taste, a crescendo of indulgence that left me utterly enraptured. With every bite, I found myself ensnared in a dance of flavors, each one more enchanting than the last. And as I savored the final remnants of this exquisite repast, I was filled not only with satiation but with a profound sense of gratitude—for in that moment, I had tasted...
Read moreBack to edit my review As you can see I've been here before and numerous times after and have never had any issues or felt the need to pretend like I didn't get my food so I could get extra. I've worked in restaurants and know how it is not wanting to make the cooks mad but sometimes we mess up and gotta take the L and take accountability. I ordered 3 cheesesteaks and when I got home there was only 2. I called to let them know and the lady at the front decided to blame me instead because she "knew what she packed" and that "if that's what you say I guess I'll make you another one" and pretty much thought I was lying to get free handouts. Because I love driving all the way home and back for absolutely no reason. One sandwich gets me 2 meals I am in no way in need of an extra free cheese steak but I'll be damned if I don't get what I paid for. And yes I know I should have checked before I left but I was hungry and in a rush. I will not be back which is a shame because we come a good bit and my daughter does karate next door and we stop for dinner a lot but not anymore. Hopefully you treat your other customers better next time.
Freaking BANGINN!! this is the best cheesesteak I've had in awhile I'm so excited it just opened right down the street from me. I could make another sandwich with how much meat they put on it. Will...
