I love this restaurant and have been coming here since they have opened. The food is amazing and I put all Mexican restaurants up against this place as if it is the gold post. I love it so much I picked this place to celebrate my last birthday and wedding anniversary. I have never done a review and didn’t realize I hadn’t until today, Mother’s Day. I even picked it over my favorite food today which is seafood. I have always had amazing customer service up until today. I know people are allowed bad days but I couldn’t let this slide because it was unwarranted. I sat in the bar area for the first time since I was alone today. My waiter/bartender had a snippy attitude which really caught me off guard. I’m writing this review because I noticed it was just with me. I did absolutely nothing to the gentleman, I sat at the table alone playing my game and enjoying the atmosphere around me. Every time I encountered him I was met with a frown or flat look as if I was a bother. Yet I saw him laughing with a gentleman at the bar. When I was finished eating I waited about 10 mins and then realized I hadn’t seen him since I got my side brought out. That was the one and only time he checked on me since I had received my entire meal. I noticed him behind the bar and I caught his attention, so I put my finger up as a request for his services. I turned to get my wallet out my purse, and when I turned back around he had started putting glasses away and bussing himself in a manner as a way to not have to look in my direction again. I sat there for many minutes just staring at him to see if he was really just going to ignore me. Another bar tender noticed me looking and came over to assist me. I requested a box and my check. Out of my 43 years of living I HAVE NEVER AND I MEAN NEVERRR HAVE EATEN AT A RESTAURANT AND NOT TIPPED. Part of me felt guilty but the other side of me would not allow me to write a tip in. I came there to enjoy my Mother’s Day dinner at the curtesy of my husband. I chose this place because I knew I would enjoy myself, as I always do. I didn’t catch his name and don’t even recall him ever giving me his name. But I just want to say to him, what a way to put a damper on my day and the experience I always receive coming to this restaurant. I enjoy the food tremendously but this one occasion really has me questioning if I will ever return. It did not sit with me well. I could understand if I did something wrong or offensive, but to get an attitude like this from the time he approached my table was off putting. Not sure what was going on tonight, but tonight was not their night. I’ve been to this restaurant numerous times and never really had a bad experience. Always recommend this place to friends and family, but after tonight, I’m not so sure.

First is that we came for dinner, and the restaurant wasn’t super busy when we arrived or placed our orders. Our server couldn’t be found, and when we did have them, they quickly ran off, not to be seen for 20/30 minutes at a time. Not super attentive to the table. Not sure if they were new or not, but also didn’t seem familiar with the drink/food menus.

Got one of our drink orders wrong (kettle one vodka and cranberry), we got Grey Goose and soda. Since they weren’t checking on us, we swapped the drink with someone else at the table since that person can’t drink that vodka. So we had to fix that issue ourselves.

Placed orders for appetizers, and the sweet plantains that are fried came out wrong. They were still frozen in the center (needed a knife to cut them) and fried in old oil that then you tried them, you tasted nothing but burnt oil. Had to flag our server down to take them away. They did apologize and remove them from the bill after I asked since I was not going to eat them and didn’t want new ones since they would likely be fried in the same oil.

Food took forever to be served. Tables with other servers seemed to be getting theirs in a decent time. Our took roughly 45 minutes after ordering to get. At other restaurants, that might be typical, but here we’ve usually gotten our food no longer than 30 minutes after ordering.

I asked to speak to the manager and was ignored, to hopefully inform them of what happened so others don’t have issues that we had, but no luck. Again, I’ve eaten here numerous times and always come back because the food and staff are so great, but tonight was not their night. Could be because the server is new and just needs additional training, but not sure if I’ll be coming back to this...

So first let me say that their customer service needs a lot of work. That is the main reason I’m giving them 2 stars. So online it says that they do curbside pick up. So that’s what I wanted. The first time I called no one picked up. So I called again and the person who picked up started taking my order but she was also talking to someone else in the background. After I ordered my food with her I proceeded to order my drink and then she just gives the phone to someone else who goes over my order again and I make sure to tell him my order was for Curb side like I told the woman who originally picked up the phone. He said okay and told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I got there I called them and told the young woman who answered that I made a curbside order and that I was outside. She said Okay and then hung up on me. So I waited about 10 minutes to see if someone was going to come out and they didn’t so I went in and got the food. The person who greeted me was friendly and I checked out with another woman and man. The main reason why I am upset about them not offering curbside and not telling me that they don’t although it says they do online is that I would have went somewhere else bc I was in a hurry. Now onto the food. I really didn’t enjoy the food. I ordered chicken wings, beef empanadas and a drink. The empanadas were on the soggy side (which could have been from them sitting in the container) but the inside didn’t have any flavor at all. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside but SOME of them were not cooked all the way through and I had to pick over them and barely eat them. I provided a picture of one of the wings as well.
