Sometimes you are hungry a little late and when you look for restaurants that are still open and see applebees is still open for 30 minutes and even call to make sure we will be served and will have the opportunity to choose from the whole menu rather than stuff that doesn't take to long or dirty the kitchen to much or be surrounded by workers absolutely miserable that they must accommodate 1 more table? Girl on phone was up beat and invited us over. But when the manager on duty opened the door she was not to pleased. Why lock door if open? Nobody wants to work, will they employees leave when restaurant closes? No they have side work and cleaning. They try to do side work and cleaning while restaurant is still open to leave as fast as possible. I had to get my own drink and listen to the cook yell out for 10 minutes hot food ready while the bartender (just started her position that night btw) 10 feet away from me pretended not to hear, she was our server btw) I said out loud it's everyone's responsibility to run hot food. Lol I used to work for applebees and we all know the last customer is a nuisance but that doesn't degrade the quality of service. The hours of operation are just that and you should operate in the same capacity from the minute the restaurant opens till the minute it closes. All restaurant should incorporate a new standard. Not putting chairs up and closing off sections or locking the door 30 minutes before closing to discreetly insinuate we don't want to work and don't care if you are hungry and don't need your business. Read moreI usually go and have late dinner 1 or 2 times a week. It’s close, clean, safe and the staff is always really supper nice. The last couple times my food order was wrong. The waitress first time corrected with a smile 😊 but point is I still had to wait. It kinda sucks but hopefully a pep talk to the kitchen in knowing the difference between a platter and a single sandwich will get fixed. But wait!! then to return with order corrected and now same bacon cheeseburger brought back cold, but with hot fries, oh no I missed it first round, to find out no bacon.🥓 yikes. 2nd return I ordered chicken finger platter, but what looked like a child’s chicken plate served, returned to kitchen by waitress, said yes not a platter, not sure she was mad at me or bothered the order was wrong, just act kinda frustrated, comes back ten minutes later with cold chicken fingers but with hot fries and coleslaw. Minus a couple chicken fingers on a larger plate. I had to laugh, getting tired. Ask for the waitress again, she came back ten minutes later with my check, lays it down rushing passed my table not giving me time to say anything ….No refill on my tea …I have never ever complained over the years and enjoyed my neighborhood Applebees but they’re slipping 🙃Hello out there!!!! Read moreToday's visit was VERY disappointing. Today was their "Veteran's Day Special" when they honor those who served. When we get there, they said the only seating they had was outside. We said ok, we would sit outside. Not an issue. She takes our drink order and later our food order. Ok so far. But, what they failed to mention was that it was also the smoking section. So, people started to light up which quite frankly disgusted us while we were eating. But, we didn't say anything as this was done already so we ate. Now, when we finish, the waitress brings the bill without deducting the Veteran's day discount. So, I brought it to her attention. Fine she took it back to be corrected. We waited for 10 minutes and when she showed up, she asked if we were ready to pay. I looked at the bill and the discount STILL was not applied. So, she goes back inside. We waited another 10 to 13 minutes. We finally went inside to get our check. We saw her attending to other tables. She finally saw us and said she would bring it. We complained about them not telling us about the tables outside being for smokers, but that didn't seem to matter to her, but she was anxious to get our payment for the bill. Another waitress was complaining about her tip and one asked us what we wanted as we were waiting to get our receipt. Very rude and disorganized. We left an appropriate tip even though she didn't deserve it. But, we vowed NEVER TO go to this place...
