Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Brooksville

Ordered at 4:45pm for a 5:20pm pickup order. Attempted to pick up in the drive thru. I could barely hear the woman on the speaker. It for sure needs to be replaced. Pull up to the window. Was greeted promptly, gave her my order #, was asked to pull forward and they would bring out a $60 order. Well… maybe I’m a little too patient because I walked inside at 6pm and asked if my order was ready. No customers inside. They had my order sitting in a pickup box. Gave it to me, I count the items and leave. Get home. Our fries are rock hard and cold. Same with the biscuits. Chicken is cold and tiny legs that looked more comparable to chicken wings (see photo below: those are chicken legs next to small chicken thighs). Desert was hard and cold (apple and strawberry pies). Mac N Cheese tasted like it was reheated from 3 days ago. To say we are highly disappointed is an understatement. This place really should not be in business. Popeyes needs to shut it down. I’ll enlighten you on the fact that I think it’s tacky to give bad reviews when not well deserved. Every establishment is entitled to an error or a bad day. We’re all human. However, as I was waiting I saw this establishment do the same thing to an elderly woman that had her walker in the passenger seat of her car. Then they had another woman pull behind me that they were in no rush to service either. She was waiting behind me at least 15 minutes before I went inside. They had a ton of premade food inside that you can see from the counter. They were fully staffed. This is pure laziness and inconsiderate to customers. They truly had no intention on bringing anyone their food. Jokes on me sitting in my car thinking they’re making everything fresh. Upon reading previous reviews this seems to be a common problem with this specific Popeyes. Head the warning! It’s true! Never again. Biggest waste of time and money. I can also see the common trend in their reviews. After someone leaves a one star honest review you see 3-4 “5 star” bogus review/accounts pop up. Comical. One more thing… I HAVE to add this. The “spot in the grass” they tell you to pull up and park at has a deep hole. Thankfully it was still daylight and I saw it. I could have pulled out and forward to exit the driveway but had I done that I probably would have snapped a tie rod end on one of my front tires. Someone’s going to damage their vehicle there. We don't usually eat fast food, but we had a craving for fried chicken and we've had pretty good experiences at other Popeyes restaurants. So, we gave our local Brooksville Popeyes a try.

I ordered a 3 piece Chicken Combo meal, with a side of mashed potatoes/gravy and a biscuit, for $8.79. When ordering I was told they were out and there'd be a 15-16 minute wait for my food. I was fine with that...I figured I'd be getting hot and fresh chicken.

My Fab One ordered the Southern Surf & Turf Combo, 4 pieces of shrimp and some chicken tenders, with a side of red beans and rice, for $6.49.

We sat in the dining room with no food, and talked until they called out that our orders were ready. They waited to give us her food until my order was ready.

Well, sure enough, my food was extremely hot, straight out of the fryer. But, her food was stone cold! I guess they left it under the 'heat lamp' until my food was ready.

So, she had to go back up and re-order her food. Which meant I either eat now while my food is hot, or wait for her reorder then my food will be cold. Either way, we were NOT going to be eating together or enjoying our food.

My chicken was just okay. Kind of small-ish in size and nothing to brag about. Her shrimp and chicken was mostly breading, so that's about all she could taste.

Overall, we were wishing we'd gone somewhere else and we will NOT be going back to...

The lady Nikko is very rude and unprofessional sat in the drive through for an hour only for her to come strolling out her car saying she was the only person there and it was gonna be a minute on food as if she wanted me to just drive off!!! I told her I’d wait and she then told me she didn’t have anything defrosted u again told her I’d wait!!! She went back to her car and retrieved what look like a crack pipe off her dashboard I could see because I was right in front of where she parked her car and she was backed in… she then went in and came on the mic after 10 minutes and asked was I still out there!!! I said yes can I order and she said yes but no family meals and no shrimp or blackened tenders!!! As she don’t have nobody to help her today and she don’t feel like waiting that long😳 at this point I have been waiting over an hour as a costumer and her time was more important than my need for patronizing this business… I placed my order a simple 3 piece as she told me I was limited and I pulled to the next window expecting to be told to park but the food was right there… I was so hungry I bit the food and this is what I got not only was there a fried roach 🪳 but the food was still raw!!! 🤬🤬🤬 activity looking for a lawyer because I plan on suing!! Y’all need to get rid of that crack smoking lady that puts her high before her job!! Absolutely nasty...
