I love Thai food so much, but since moving to the burbs of CO, I've been on a search to find really good Thai food that's not a 20+ minute drive away from home. That search is finally over, thanks to Mountain Thai. I went here on a weeknight as a solo diner and was able to order and seat myself immediately. I chose a Thai tea, roti (which I was surprised to see on the menu at a Thai place but couldn't resist) and drunken noodles, which all came out swiftly. The roti were crisp on the outside and flaky and steamy within — obviously very fresh. I'd call them parathas rather than roti; I'd also call them delicious. They came with a tasty peanut butter-based dipping sauce jazzed up with ginger and turmeric. I had a couple wedges left over, which I revived to perfect crispiness in my toaster the next day. The drunken noodles were piping-hot perfection, with tender chicken and crisp-tender veg. All elements — noodles, veg, and protein — had just the right amount of tasty char. I ended up bringing home leftovers thanks to the generous portion size, but couldn't resist ordering some mango sticky rice to go, which I saved for breakfast the next day. Breakfast of the gods! The rice was topped with a sweet and slightly salty coconut milk drizzle, and the sliced mango on top was ripe and juicy. In general, I felt all the dishes had well-balanced flavors and they were clearly prepared with individual attention and care. I'll definitely be back to eat my way through more...
Read moreThis is going to be a touch dramatic so buckle up friends! Thai food is my favorite and it’s very hard to find authentic Thai not just the watered down white people thai food. There’s a place in Littleton that has been my favorite restaurant since I was an 8 year old girl. To get an 8 year old, picky, white kid to be literally addicted to Tom Yum Goong is a miracle in my eyes. That place made Thai food, particularly that soup, my favorite thing in the world to eat. I have driven a 2 hour round trip for it on days where I needed comfort only my favorite food could bring. I was telling this to a client of mine who recommended I try Mountain Thai. So I went when they were still solely doing the food truck and I loved it. Decided to go back today to try their Tom Yum. I’ve never found a place other than my tried and true that made it the way I like. I just took my first bite and.. this brought a genuine tear of joy to my eye. It tastes almost EXACTLY like the one from my favorite place only is on my way home from work. The sourness is perfect. The spice is the same. The shrimp are that same burst in your mouth pop that you need with Tom Yum. I’m not sure what the name of your chef is but please, please tell her that she brought true joy to my mouth, heart, and soul today in a way that holds more meaning that I could ever express! I’ll definitely be back! Thank you guys you rock!!!! I’m so so happy I...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting this place because it was on my list of places to try and when I finally got the chance to try it, it did not disappoint! It was delicious 😋 and tasty! The portion was good, the taste was how I like my Pad see eew. I asked for extra flat wide noodles because I love them but I was charged an extra $1 for it.
I was with my mom and she ordered the same dish with tofu and vegetables but unfortunately they forgot the tofu and there wasn't much vegetables mixed in her dish despite being charged for the tofu and vegetable pad see eew🤦🏻♀️, the vegetables were mostly spread on the top of her dish.
My only suggestion and advice to the owner would be to please 🙏🏻 add a little more vegetables like the broccoli 🥦, carrots 🥕 or even baby corn to the dish. Other than that everything was great and I can only hope that they make that small minor change or addition to their dishes because I will definitely go back again because it took me a while to find a place like here that makes the pad see eew with flat wide noodles because they are my favorite🤞🏻!
I would definitely recommend and suggest this place to everyone I know because I was happy with my experience and look forward to...
