The 5280 Donuts — Restaurant in Broomfield

It was a little after noon on a Sunday and we were craving donuts. Usually we would make the drive to Boulder for Voodoo but we wanted something closer and more affordable. We scoured google maps for an oasis of donuts in the bleak frozen landscape. Low and behold 5280 Donuts is just a 10min drive away. We have never been but we were desperate. We pull up and go in. It is pretty empty and they are starting to clean up for the day. The options were few considering they closed in less than a half hour. We decided to play it safe and get a classic glaze and a chocolate frosted donut. Simple. Easy. Affordable. As we got back in our car and took our first bites, the world brightens, the birds start to sing. And my outlook on donuts is forever changed. Never in my wildest dreams could I have conceived a better donut. It was the perfect sweetness. The texture was like a cloud, if felt like it dissolved in my mouth into the essence of joy and happiness. Before I knew it the donut was gone and I wanted more. My only regret is not getting a dozen instead of a single. Truly, THE BEST DONUT I HAVE EVER HAD!!!

Best Donuts a 47 year old Fat Boy has ever eaten!

Wow. Incredible. The best of the best. I've eaten donuts all my life. I'm from the Midwest where donuts are a much a part of life as chili and BBQ, and I'm testifying; this place has the best donuts I've ever eaten ... and that's a LOT of donuts. To give you perspective, I think Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme are swill. lol Disgusting! This place is a real donut shop with handcrafted confectionery delights. You can taste the respect for the ingredients and process. I ordered a glazed, an old fashion, an iced chocolate, a custard filled chocolate glazed, a custard filled long john, and creme centered iced chocolate. Every donut was the freshest I've ever had, and all melted in your mouth; no milk required, (but the glass after was extremely satisfying). On top of the best tasting donuts ever, the owner was by herself and had lost her voice, but was still working. She hadn't had time to get the donuts on the shelves, but patiently went through her boxes of donuts to tell a first-timer what she had, and it was a lot. I will absolutely be...

Put in a large order for my company through their website with a few questions about pricing and availability. Within 20 minutes someone from 5280 had responded answering everything in full and I was all confirmed, at a price much lower than the other donut chain locations. When I came to pick up they had everything all boxed and ready to go.

And while the great service and low price point was much appreciated, it paled in comparison to how good these donuts are. Amazing taste and great consistency, even the very few leftover donuts we're delicious the next day. I was also very happy to find that none of the variety donuts that I ordered were of the "weird novelty" type with a pound of dry cereal thrown on top (looking at you, Voodoo).
