Alley's Alehouse — Restaurant in Brownsburg

We arrive yesterday 2/1/25 to have dinner and we're told by hostess for our table of 3 it would be 20-25 minutes. We were fine with that so we went to play games in arcade while waiting for text. 30-35 minutes go by i decide to just go to hostess stand to get an idea of how much lo ger we were looking at. She then said 2 hours... I then asked how do we go from 25 minutes to 2 hours. Her response was well we have all these reservations that are also coming in and we are short staffed having only 2 waitresses. I reply with how does reservations coming have to do with us since we were told 25 minutes based in the wait thst was in place since we were already physically here and thr wait times should be going off what is already scheduled. She replied out system doesn't work like that and we can't see the reservations they just come in. I stated that makes no sense and what you are telling me is we were here first with a given time frame and we dint matter as the customer that also has spent money in arcade and no text saying times pushed back or given opportunity to say yes we would wait the 2 hours we were told 25 mins and that was fine by us. We would have left and went somewhere else if we knew 2 hours. No ma ager would come talk as we were told the manager was upstairs. They sent a young man to come and intercept and ask the problem which the first person we assumed told them the young man then left and and back down to get Arcade manager and he spoke with us. Super new to brownsburg, so giving a generous review, knowing they’re still working out new restaurant kinks. Location vibe is a fresh sports bar with lot of seating and plenty of TV’s to go around to watch games on. Was not busy at 7;30 on a Saturday night, however the bowling alley is closed and no doubt we will see it packed in the near future. The arcade looks absolutely amazing and foresee a lot of money being lost there in the future. Wings with dry rub were really good and the teriyaki sauce was a bit unique with sesame seeds in it. Would get again. Both of us got a loaded baked potato and side salad. $10 for a salad and potato is my kind of language. Croutons seem to be homemade. Potato could have use a tad bit more topping but I used ranch to fill the void. Drinks were good and I saw some pretty ones come out from the bar. Let me tell you what! This place has bomb food and even tho the severs are still getting the hang of this new place, the several times I’ve been in here now with my family, they’ve been positive and made my experience great each time. Also on my visits to the bar, I’ve discovered a new whiskey I have to add to my favorites called the “Not For Karen’s” which is a unique in-house blend. For all my Whiskey lovers, this one’s good straight or with their lemonade ice ball if you like a sweet kick. Thanks to my bartender for preparing it just right! A HUGE shout out to my Bartender PATRICK for making me feel welcome, at home, and who treated me with professional, yet fun service which is a rare gem these days!! Please keep him around.
