I moved from the diverse foodie mecca of California to Indiana 2 years ago and have really struggled to find decent food on this side of the country. So when I say that Bob's Indian Kitchen has become my weekly go-to for lunches and dinners, you know it's not an exaggeration.

Unlike a lot of other restaurants, they don't cater to "local flavor preferences" and cook it how mātā would, literally. It's family run as you have the son working in the front and family cooking in the back and coming out to serve you.

I always get the Chicken Tikka Masala (Mild) with a side of Rice. My boyfriend orders the Butter Chicken (Medium) with a side of Rice. We then add a Garlic Naan to share and almost always have leftovers for the next day. Both dishes are so rich in flavor and taste even better the next day.

Compared to most restaurants in the area, the cost for 2 to eat here might feel on the more expensive. However, the quality of ingredients and care that is hand cooked into each meal is 110% worth it.

I've had plenty of meals in Downtown Indy, Zionsville, Fishers, and Carmel that were all at the same price point and considered "higher end". But none of those come anywhere near to the quality and friendliness that Bob's Indian...

Female cashier was friendly and did a great job; however, palak paneer was extremely thin, watery, and bland for 14.99. It seemed as if it was nearly sold out and they stretched it rather than telling us. Naan is expensive at 4.99 per piece and although we ordered garlic, we received plain. Palak paneer also contained few pieces of paneer. Rice didn't taste like better-quality basmati, and samosa did not taste fresh. Food took around 35 minutes; we were quoted 20-25. I was not at all impressed compared with the Indian food we eat once/week here in Chicago. This restaurant is very expensive for what you receive. Easily the worst palak paneer I have had. Other dishes were just not very plentiful for the price. Prices comparable if not higher than we find in Chicago. Although I ordered all the dishes mild for my elderly parents, chicken korma was spicy enough that we needed yogurt to cool our palates and my husband was sweating with red eyes. So don't count on mild being very mild if you dine here. We spent around 95 on one order samosa, naan, and 4 main courses with 1 drink. Comparable to sit-down restaurant prices, I found this excessive...

This place is a precious gem! The food melts in your mouth in the best way! 🥰🥰🥰 My mom said her food was so good that it tasted like dessert! She has the chicken tikka masala and of course my dad and I had to try too. 😊 It was delicious 🤤 I had the goat biryani and it did not disappoint. Colorful rice, tender meat, and yogurt sauce to top it with. My dad also had delicious boti 🤤 All sauces are made in-house! So many good things to say but my FAVORITE item of all was their DELICIOUS cardamom tea! It dispenses from a machine that was imported from India with great difficulty. I'm telling you....it was worth it! Best tea I've ever had at an Indian restaurant! It is an excellent place to get food to go but why would you! Especially when there are FREE refills on this Wonderfully Aromatic Comforting Cardamom Milk Tea!!!!!!! Love love love. I live in Saint Louis and I've never had such good tea and Indian food at any restaurant here. Brownsburg, you have a TREASURE! Eat there as often as you can! Let's support this small family-owned business! I will be back! Bob's will forever be in my heart ❤️. Such wonderful people...

Visited 1.23.2023 early morning and decided to have lunch, supporting new local family business. Located pleasantly next to Main Street. - I will start off with saying I was alone during this visit and it was very expensive so go in knowing you will spend some change for "authentic" food. - I ordered the Pani Puri which was $10.99, it came out looking terrible sad. Also it is around $1.30 each pani puri piece which to me is outrageous due to the fact that pani puri is normally .30cents to $5 for a whole plate that's way more loaded than this. I sent it back and it came back looking a bit better but still not worth the cost. - The SHAHI Paneer was decent. They asked me before ordering a spice level and I said spicy and what I received wasn't spicy at all. It was flavorful but hence more sweet than spice. - Samosa chaat was a hit but was very small potion wise. I included a picture of everything. - Mango lassi was flavorful but not worth $6.99. - Garlic naan stole the show, best thing I had. - Overall my experience was a 2/5 for value to money ratio. 3/5 for ambience. 5/5 for the workers and staff present. I will be back.

Went to Bob's Indian Kitchen for opening night! Firstly, the staff is VERY friendly & professional, and did a great job of describing menu items to someone who has only had Indian food a handful of times. Very patient and communicative. Due to being brand new, some menu items were unavailable but there was still a lot of selection available. Dining space was visibly clean though you may have to wait for space to sit if you go at a busy time due to space restrictions. The food was very rich and flavorful. I got the mild butter chicken curry with garlic naan and had no complaints on the quality - it tastes homemade & created with love. The mild curry still has a bit of kick to it, to someone with very low spice tolerance, be aware of this when you order! Portions seemed slightly small for the pricing, particularly the $7 mango smoothie; however, I would not call it a bad deal considering the quality of the food! Definitely get the garlic naan, it's pretty good.
