Peking — Restaurant in Brownstown Charter Township

Terrible service. Ordered 2qt chicken fried rice and a large wonton and received sesame chicken, white rice and wonton. Called for replacement order after getting it home. Was told I would have to pay the difference. I’m all for helping a small business and paying my way but if said business makes a mistake they should make it right. I guess my expectation for having to make a second trip would be to give back the wrong food, get my food and an apology and go along on my way. Terrible terrible terrible. Decent food but not enough for the hassle. Never again.

Edit* Just for the record there was never a “nod”. She said the wrong order when I walked in, I said no and repeated my order. Was given a bag on the counter after paying for the order and tipping. Got home opened the bag to find the wrong order. Called and asked for my order. Was told more than once that it was the food I ordered. Then was told there was a price difference. Then asked why I should have to pay for their mistake (I understand family owned but terrible service is terrible service and you shouldn’t make your customers responsible for that). Then again was told that it was my mistake and that the food I received was the food I ordered. I then hung up after telling them I never will be back. Ate the wrong food. Went to bed. They can try to slice it how they want but it was terrible service plain and simple. Very rude lady running the counter. PS....you are not the only people just “trying to survive”. People come to your restaurant in hopes of good food and a correct order. You have to get the orders correct to survive. Maybe take a name and phone number next time?? Or at least one...

Awful service!! I have NEVER had anyone argue with me and tell me that I didn't know what was ordered because it was a younger person that called it in. Then I gave her the wrong phone number, she never asked on the phone for it, perhaps she missed it on the caller ID. Then I get to Flat Rock and find out the order is completely wrong. We called and I went back...MORE arguing..telling me I didn't call in the order and I gave her wrong number, yet she couldn't give me the phone number from when I called the order in! Food was NOT that impressive. I will NEVER go here again and have told those that recommended this place. My husband and I recently moved to this end of town and decided to try this place, as it's closer than our other preferred Chinese restaurants. The woman taking our order on the phone wasn't very polite, sighing when she was taking our order. It could be a cultural difference but other restaurants don't usually behave this way. The food was just okay. The hot and sour soup had more spice than tang, and most places usually have a good balance. We both got different chicken dishes and they were both soggy and greasy. There was absolutely no crunch to the chicken breading. The amount of grease made me feel ill when I was done, and I only ate about 10% of what was in the container. Was it edible? Yes. Would I go there again unless I was really desperate? ...
