956 Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Brownsville

We absolutely love 956 Coffee! Their coffee is always excellent, and they create unique drinks that you can’t find anywhere else in Brownsville. It’s become part of our daily routine to stop by, and we especially enjoy trying their seasonal creations.

Some of our favorites are the Rice & Beans (horchata with espresso – so good!), the Hazelnut Praline Latte, and the Apple Spice Latte. Every drink feels thoughtfully crafted and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff always make the experience even better.

I love trying different coffee places, and out of all of the ones I’ve visited this one is for sure a top contender. The atmosphere in here is absolutely incredible. Fresh flowers on the table, a nice little rack of clothes to look through, a variety of places to sit, so the inside area is really beautiful. Our order was taken quick, and was brought out to us in a really timely manner as well. The baristas were so friendly and warm, and the drinks themselves were awesome. Both were soooo smooth, I got a matchata (as well as the rice & beans) and they were both amazing. The horchata is so rich and the coffee was really yummy!...

Great people but I was shocked that a large latte cost over $8 here at 956. I don’t live here in Brownsville so when I visit, I love supporting local but I was taken back by the price. I have purchased coffee at this location time back and I don’t ever recall almost paying $9 dollars for a latte. I own a business myself so I understand the cost of things etc but a good cup of coffee, latte whatever it is, should never be close to $10. I went to Sovereign coffee, also located in Brownsville, and I paid $18 for three large lattes. 956 has great people and cute locations, but the price is definitely...
