Signed up for internet and there was only a 12-month contract available, I said never mind knowing I'm only going to need wifi for 4-6 months, as I got up to leave the lady told me she would waive the early cancelation fee ($200 cancellation fee mind you) and so as I move out of Brownwood I call and confirm that she is still going to waive my early cancellation fee and she said yes as long as the equipment was in good condition. Turned in the equipment that was in the same condition it was leased to me, gave her my forwarding address and went on my way. Get my bill and the $200 cancellation fee is still on there, so I call the store. The lady who answered the phone immediately had attitude with me when I tried to explain the situation. She tried to blame me for signing a contract when I said the lady made a note saying she would waive the fee. She said she saw no note so I asked if she could talk to whoever set me up and again no response just attitude. Read moreNever works! Says "looks good on our end". They have you reset modem a dozen times, unplug this, unplug that, they reset it still doesn't work. Bad customer service, rude and act like you're an idiot. First it was they were building a new tower due to over crowding. It should have been ready a year ago, then the spring, then the summer. Takes weeks to come out and "look", did nothing but look and say "yep you have one of those boxes" (something with the firmware). Well that was "fixed" then we can't get on the tower because we live too far, but they can't 100% guarantee to credit my account when there's nothing else they can do to "fix" it and I paid for the service that doesn't work and have to wait on them 2 weeks to do nothing. Read moreIn the year and change we've had West Central net, we literally have never had fully functioning internet service. For over a year we had speeds slower than dial-up (due to the antenna being aimed through a tree and their refusal to send out a tech despite monthly calls). For the last month, since they finally reaimed the antenna, we've had random cutouts that remained unfixed despite another tech visit. Now we have absolutely no service at all after a network-wide outage from which ours never recovered. They're sending another tech out...a week from now.
