I actually visited Branka's Bake Haus & Market twice. The first visit was Tuesday around 4 pm. I attempted to order ready-made food that looked delicious but the market was very crowded and I couldn't even get close to the food case. So I decided to leave and return today, Wed at 4 pm. It was not as crowded but by the time I finished ordering there were 6 people in line to order pre-made food. There was a good selection- pork schnitzel, Hungarian goulash, kielbasa and sauerkraut, spaetzles, and red cabbage. I chose to order ala carte but there were dinner options available too. Food was fresh and prices were average. I then waited in line for bakery. There were at least 4 woman working in the bakery section but only one assisting customers. Finally another woman helped with my order, while the other woman cleaned the glass on the bakery case. Then it took 15 min to ring up my bakery due to inability to work the computer. And the baklava, rum balls and wafers were old and stale so not worth the wait. I know this is a new business so I will try again once they work out the kinks. Overall, the girl at the ready-made foods was pleasant and efficient. The Manager and other staff were very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend the...
Read moreIt became a tradition 30 years ago for my father and I to run in to get each other cannoli's for birthdays, bad days, or just because, from the neighborhood Rito's Bakery in Parma, and I still get to carry it on now at the lone Brunswick location! Plain or chocolate dipped, mini, regular, or GIANT sized (yes, they sell a gigantic cannoli shell stuffed with dozens of mini cannolis!) they got you! They have an extensive fresh deli selection as well, selling specialty salads & side dishes, meats, cheeses and made to order sandwiches. You can also purchase their homemade lasagnas, eggplant parmesan, etc by the tray in their freezer, along with artisanal breads & imports from well stocked shelves & displays. All this, of course, provided you make it past the bakery display cases and aren't too embarrassed by the trail of drool you're leaving all over the glass!
Update 2022 the first annual birthday cannoli bought for my dad's 40th birthday still going strong as my youngest son, nephews and 1 of my nieces went to get Papou's 70th birthday cannolis! Rito's Bakery is celebrating their 50th year golden anniversary and we wish them all the best in their...
Read moreMy daughterâs wedding cake was supposed to have cascade of burgundy red flowers- which we paid an additional 100$ for- at 5:35pm I arrived at reception to find âfeces brownâ flowers. Needless to say my heart dropped as there was nothing that could be done in 25 mins to fix The decorators error. I called Ritos bakery immediately and was told there was nothing that could be done but that their manager would call me the next morning. After waiting 2 days and not receiving phone call I returned the cake stand to the store and still no manager - I was told by the tall blonde working there that the owner would call me- still no phone call. While at the store a customer asked to see my cake photo and she stated âoh my thatâs brown- definitely not burgundyâ. My daughters wedding cake looked like it had feces colored flowers. So disappointed as I thought I patronized âthe best wedding cakeâ bakery as it was advertised. I would NOT recommend Ritos bakery for wedding cakes- especially since they have not even apologized for messing up...
