I moved into this area three years ago. My daughters introduced me to Fat Bobs. I was an Antonio's (Parmatown only) customer prior to this. I liked the pizza quite a lot and even sent friends there. This is no longer true. In my past two visits they messed up the pizza order both times. I took the first one because I had a pepperoni and sausage pizza before so I didn't have time for them to make one again, which they offered to do) and gave up the black olives for the sausage. Tonight I ordered a sm. One with garlic butter sauce MILD banana peppers and black olives. I received one with red and green peppers so I took it back. I was told that they changed their banana peppers to the mix of red and green and that is what they gave me. Let me tell you THE RED ones are anything but mild. I had to remove most of the peppers because most were red. I can't tolerate "hot spicy"peppers on the pizza which is already spiced w/o them. I drove away angrily saying I won't order that again. I am warning anyone who is used to the MILD banana peppers you won't get them there. And, as far as the management caring about their customers..... it wasn't there tonight. They went from five stars to one star. Maybe when the new pizza company Zeppis comes there they will revert to business I had...
Read moreI only wish I would have tried this place sooner. It would have saved me years of sub-par pizzas. I have worked down the road from Fat Bobs since it opened... and was hesitant to try it because I was pretty fond of another pizza chain in the area. I finally tried it for the first time in December and oh my goodness was I impressed! Their pizza is probably hands down the best in Brunswick. (I would know. I've lived here for 25 years and have tried them all!) WAY worth the extra $5 compared to crappy chain pizza places. My coworkers and I tried the "FatBob" pizza today and we were super impressed. The other place we usually order from has a Bacon/Ranch/Potato Pizza and this blew theirs out of the water. I don't know that I will ever bother ordering from another pizza shop again... and my coworkers agree with me. (So does my dad who thinks he's a pizza connoisseur) We met Bob today when we went to pick our pizzas up... and no, he's not fat. But he seems like a nice guy who genuinely cares about the product he serves. As long as they keep serving pizza this good, my family, coworkers and I will be...
Read moreToday was my first visit to FatBob Pizza. The food was just “ok”. Ordered 2 pizzas- a large V-Twin thick crust and a medium regular crust pepperoni. The V-twin crust was exactly the same as the medium regular crust. The V-Twin is supposed to have 2 layers of cheese and 2 layers of pepperoni. Mine only had 1 layer of each.
When I called to ask if my order was messed up, I didn’t get much assistance on the phone. After going back and forth trying to find my order with the person who answered the phone, I was finally given the manager. The manager asked if I ate the pizza (we ate about 1/2). Then I was told “maybe I got a less than quality” version. I was offered $2.00 off my next order- which wasn’t really satisfactory to me. I told them I was disappointed and just wouldn’t come back. The manager said “ok” and didn’t seem too worried. No apology. Not a care in the world.
This pizza place came highly recommended- it was just “Ok” and certainly not worth driving from Medina to Brunswick to get. Unlikely...
