Laurel Square Shopping Center — Local services in Brunswick

One of the best Saturday night Cruise-In locations. If you happen to bring up a classic or modern vehicle of any make...just a few observations....number #1...most people are pretty respectful here and will not touch your car, unfortunately you will find a few bad apples that never learned to keep their hands to themselves. Number #2...There is a nice selection of food in this plaza. Try Fat Bob's pizza....the salads are small for the price but the quality of the pizza is delicious. It does take longer to get your order on Saturday night but that is expected when you have 400+ cars in the lot......I love this plaza and will return as often as I can on Saturday nights...

Used to stop here are park for lunch (Fedex Freight semi). They have fenced it in to prevent a classic car cruise in, taking away my area to park. Mr. Hero, McDonald's, Fat Bobs, Atillios, all have lost my business. I am also local, and as I understand it, this is either the owner of the property, or Big Lots that has fenced it in. Because of this bad PR issue for whoever is trying to stop the cruise in, I will not longer patronize this shopping center. I am a Valley City resident, but often shop at Big Lots for snacks, and garden...

This is a dull plaza. Only a few stores are available here anyway. Apparently it was approved to set up fences in a couple large portions of the parking lot to keep the cruisers out. The car cruise was the lively part of this place every Saturday evening during the summer. It was a big part of family fun, and a history that Brunswick was known for. Just goes to show how dull it is if they can sacrifice that much space with 2 large fenced off areas. It didn't deter the cruisers. They now gather in an area of the Brunswick Campus on 303....
