I called in a to go order and was immediately put on hold, I think, I'm not sure because I could not understand the girl. When she finally came back to the phone I gave her my order and after I was finished I asked her to read it back to me. Now, I only did this because she seemed very rushed, checked out vand very unfriendly, and on top of that I didn't want my order to be wrong. She read it back so quickly and her words were mumbled together that I had no clue if she read exactly what I ordered. I thought to myself that I would just check it when I got there, I too myself work in customer service, I've worked in a restaurant for 15 years. I get it, she may have been having a bad night, may have had a complicated customer previously, she may have been tired. I was giving her, I don't care, attitude the benefit of the doubt. But then, after I said thank you, she said nothing back.... Just hung up. Now again, I'm a server and bartender. I have never been Intentionally rude to a customer. My attitude towards my customers reflect on how I make my living. If I'm rude, short, not attentive enough, people don't tip. And that sucks. So I really don't understand why anyone intentionally sucks at serving, blows my mind! And I tip very well! I don't care if it's a beer, you'll get 100% tip. That's just how I personally am when I go and spend money somewhere. After the rude ending to that to go order, I immediately did a u-turn and drove towards the next waffle House on 341. I called first and the girl was so sweet, made a little joke, very personable. I didn't even ask her to read back my order, because I felt that she was "present" in our conversation. When I got there, my bill was $8 and some change, I gave her $5.00 tip on top of the price. I will never go to the Waffle House...
Read moreTerrible service. Waitress took our table apparently 20 minutes before her shift was going to be done so she was rushing us the entire time. We were the only customers. Waitress had given us our tickets and disappeared right after giving us our plates. Sausage and bacon all overdone. In my grandmother's words the sausage patties were like 'hockey pucks'. Hashbrowns undercooked. Waffles burned to almost smoking first, then undercooked next try so they stuck to the iron and ripped apart, finally on the 3rd attempt they were good.
Finally to top it all off, our Waitress finally reappeared about 10 minutes into our meal, but didn't check on us at all. She sat at the counter to drink coffee. While she was sitting there, my older grandmother dropped her entire glass of orange juice all over herself. I saw the waitress witness the spill, watch us trying to wipe the table and grandmother with the few napkins we had, and finally totally ignored it and went back to drinking her coffee. Several other employees saw (including the cook who also went on break while our food was cooking thus why things burned) and not a single one expressed any concern or offered any help. Obviously it isn't their fault she dropped the juice, but the least you can do as a server is offer a few napkins...
All in all it was an awful experience. I love waffle house and have been going since I was a baby, but I'm pretty sure we won't be going to this specific...
Read moreUpdate 10/8/24. Wow - great food and professional, warm service. Really good breakfast! Hashbrowns, eggs, sausage and waffles were all very tasty and not at all greasy! Leon (the cook) knows his business! Our server, Seth, was perfect - attentive and friendly, but also let us enjoy our time alone. All in all a real cut above our expectations! And $11 for all that with toast? Great deal. So glad we stopped! Sadly I didn’t think to take pics until we were almost done. So the pic is of our almost empty plates…. It was SO GOOD!! The other pic is of the wonderful cook, and our servers. Can’t say enough about their great staff! Very professional and we felt they really wanted us there. Nice experience!
Great Waffle House. We had the Texas Bacon Cheesesteak, cheeseburger, and chili. Everything was made in front of us and arrived hot and tasty. Our server, Takiah, was professional and courteous and made our visit enjoyable. One of the pleasures of a Waffle House is the old fashioned soda counter vibe and Takiah and the fabulous cook only made the vibe better. It was also fun to sit and watch the busy street from the big glass walls. Quick, tasty and fun. We...
