This was the best restaurant!!! We visited Saint Simons and ate out every day for a week but nothing was so good that I would have taken the time to review it. On our last night, we drove to Brunswick to try this Korean restaurant and we were so glad we did!! They went above and beyond what I could have imagined. We were at first surprised at the prices of $15-25 a plate. But then the food came and we realized why. It was rolled out on a cart and the presentation was beautiful! The portions were huge and the service was better than any restaurant I've been to. The $20 Bulgogi (#5) was piled high on a cast iron skillet. I assumed the rice was under, but nope. The rice came separate in a small bowl along with all the toppings in individual bowls that they would refill for us consistently. My husband got $25 La gal Bee (#6) and it came out still sizzling. The steak was cooked to perfection. Again, piled high on a cast iron skillet. The meat from just one dish would have been enough for a family of 4. We also tried jap chae (#13) which was similar to the bulgogi meat but mixed with tons of translucent noodles. My son had seafood Ramen and chose medium spice... which was quite spicy! The chef joked with him that you always start with mild if it's your first time! Haha. We still ate it all and took home some bulgogi with rice and all the toppings. We loved all the toppings: kimchi, some type of root, bean sprouts, seaweed and cucumbers.Their kimchi is made fresh and delicious but our favorite topping was the marinated cucumbers. The owners were so incredibly nice and hospitable. We will definitely return again on our next visit...

I agree with all the other reviewers. Amazing and Authentic Korean food. A surprising find in this small coastal Georgia town.

Speaking to the owner, she explained that they had just reopened after a couple months being closed due to an accident where she was injured. Consequently they were still looking for staff and certain menu items were not available. Nonetheless, the usual Korean standards were available. We shared Haemul-Pajeon (seafood pancake). My wife had Dol Sot BiBimBap and I had KimChi Jiggae. Both excellent, with generous portions we had to take back to our hotel. WARNING. The spice/heat level is high....which I like. I would recommend order one level lower than your norm.

They had a basic sampling of Korean beer and Soju.

Be warned, the place is small. Waiting for a table to open is common. I beleive that the husband was the only one cooking, so be prepared to wait for food, but it wasn't too long and tasted excellent. The two of them hustled non-stop our entire stay, with no table appearing to wait too long.

I think the prices were fair, considering the authentic taste, portion size and preparation techniques.

When we left there was a long line outside with people happy to wait.

I'd highy recommend, and looking forward to...

We went to Hwang Keum Jung for my birthday today, because I absolutely love Korean food. The spice, the freshness, the quality.

Let me tell you: they DELIVERED! My partner got the bulgogi, and it was so tender and marinated fantastically. He finished the plate, and it was a hearty portion. I got the kimchi jjigae, and they asked how spicy I wanted it, which was very spicy. The lady who took our order, – who was extremely kind, as were they all, –said it would be over medium, and that’s okay with me. If you don’t like spice, do not order it this way, but it was absolutely perfect for me! The pork was very tender, the tofu was like butter, and the kimchi was so fresh that even the boiling jjigae didn’t completely get rid of the crunch. It was served with a marinated boiled potato, which was heavenly, bean sprouts, cucumbers in gochujang, and more kimchi, which was fresh and tangy and crunchy… I could go on. Next time, I want to try the tteokbokki.

Long story short? We will be back, and I’m going to suggest it to...

The place is amazing. I've traveled all over the world and I thought I knew good Korean food. One of my favorite restaurants in Almaty, Kazakhstan was a fine dining Korean restaurant but honestly? This place serves better food. It's funny because it has zero curb appeal. It looks like it'll be a greasy spoon hole in the wall but then when your food comes out it's simply delicious. It's set up in typical East Asian style with pics of all the food on the wall. I always like that. You can look at the menu with words then compare it to the picture on the wall. It's pricey it's worth every penny. If the food is worth the price I'll never complain. I'm happy to pay top dollar for amazing food. I've eaten at too many places around Brunswick now that are expensive but terrible. I think this place may be my new favorite restaurant. You should go. It won't disappoint.

Korean food tends to be expensive in the States but this place felt especially pricey. However, after tasting the food, it all makes sense. The portions are huge, and everything from the main dishes to the side dishes is delicious. The kimchi, in particular, tastes like freshly made kimchi, which I really liked. As a Korean, I can say that this place offers very authentic Korean food. However, the one disappointing thing was that they didn't use sticky short rice to cook the rice; instead, they used long rice. In Korea, no one eats long rice... The two ladies(Ajummas) working there are very busy but always check if we need anything.
