Don Chente Mexican & Seafood Restaurant #2 - HWY 21 — Restaurant in Bryan

Great place for some drinks out! We love the food! Amazing. I mainly wanted to come on here to express and show appreciation to our waitress “Jacky R”. Jacky if you’re seeing this, we loved your service and we always look forward to see you. I wanted to come on here to say this place is absolutely trash to Jacky, treat her horrible, and yet she’s still the sweetest. Some time ago, we encountered another waitress yelling at her and making her cry, yet she came to the table with the biggest smile ever, with the most amazing service. Our hearts broke when we seen her eyes but yet she was so incredibly kind and generous. “The sweetest person ever”- my wife. We tried to cheer her up with our dad jokes, but she was still upset. We asked her what had happened, she explained it was her first week training and the other waitress lost her patience with her because they were backing up with tables, she explained she needed this job because she wants a career, she had some family issues and health issues as well. We reminded her of the amazing person she is, truly! She is! We tipped her 100$ and no regrets! We recently went again and asked about her but she moved to the college station one! I had heard a lot about this restaurant. My son even got kicked out this restaurant for being too boisterous. Anywho, Don Chente's is as close to authentic Mexican food as one can get. I would have given them five stars but, and this is not just this restaurant in particular put this goes for any restaurant that serves any kind of beans. I hate the beans from every restaurant. In my opinion the beans from restaurants are just disgusting. That being said I had a Pollo asado plate. Portions we're good the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there. And will be visiting them again soon. The restaurant was very clean the restrooms were very clean as well. What more can I say. So if you want some good food with some good music going in the background maybe a couple of drinks you need to visit Don Chente's. The fact that they have a separate bar area and serve liquor is a plus too, so take your IDs...

We are very unsatisfied with communication here. We went for drinks and food yesterday, at some point they refused one of our members more alcohol, which he was on his 3rd beer. They told us that they cant legally sell you more than 3 beers at a time. Which I understand, we don't know how true this is. But the issue was that they did not communicate that with us before hand. As this was after our member had already bought $100+ on beer at the bar, for himself and other people. We spent a lot of money there, we asked for the manager as we were told that they were the one that told the waitress to stop serving us. The manager never came out. We still left a big tip just because we were upset and we did argue for a while with the waitress. However, we have seen in this restaurant and the one on Villa Maria, where people consume more than 3 beers in one sitting. So we don't understand why we would be...
