This coffee shop has been one of my favorite aspects of recently moving to New Hope. The owners and their staff are some of the friendliest people I know, and take extreme pride in their craft. If you’re looking for some go-to’s, try the iced vanilla bourbon or get an iced matcha latte with the lemon lush flavor added. I promise the drinks are not overly sweet but rather perfectly balanced. For food, the breakfast sandwiches are always great, and the waffles are delicious and made in-house (they rotate amongst vanilla, chocolate chip, everything seasoning, and lemon poppy). My kids get a waffle every single time we go.
As a worthy mention - the vibe inside the shop is awesome with plants and bonsai trees everywhere, wood furniture that the owner crafted himself, and cool gadgets to check out and admire. Outdoor seating is available as well.
It’s tough to find great quality coffee/matcha/breakfast food in the area and this place has it all. If you’re in the area make...
Read moreI ventured out to New Hope to get my haircut and stopped into the new-to-me Amsterdam. Known for their exotic matcha menu, this bonsai-adorn cafe offers everything from matcha to coffee to fresh pastries, including leige waffles. While the menu offered 6 (!!) different matcha concoctions ranging from nordic blueberry to black sesame mocha, I opted for the baseline iced matcha latte (you know - like ordering a plain pizza slice before anything else). It was earthy and creamy and everything I craved. I’m excited to try the more creative flavors next.
I didn’t order the black sesame latte, but I DID order the black sesame leige waffle. It was served warm and had little sugar crystals mixed into the batter. It was a satisfying, cronchy bite.
Just make sure you read the menu before you order. They do not modify drinks unless you...
Read moreThis is the cutest little coffee shop! I stumbled upon this place after a doctor's appt and was so happily surprised. The place is small but so cozy and welcoming, with a cool mix of modern and natural decor with crystals and bonsai trees all over. I got a lavender latte and one of their homemade belgian waffles (cinnamon roll flavor) and sat at the beautiful wooden table for awhile. I found out the table was made by the owner and the craftsmanship is insane, and the coffee and waffle were absolutely delicious. It's a little more pricey than going to a chain, but I anticipate that with smaller shops, and I felt it was worth the price. I went back a few days later because I was craving the coffee and got the banana sesame waffle because it was the staff's favorite and it was sooooo good! You should totally check...
