Curry Express Texas — Restaurant in Buda

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for Curry Express Texas, a food truck/cum restaurant located in South Austin. The outdoor setting, complete with small gravels and old trees, makes for a truly inviting atmosphere. It's not just the beautiful hibiscus plants and camellia flowers that make this place special, but the wonderful ambiance that is created in both the indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Now let's talk about the food. Having tried most items on the menu, I can confidently say that everything is a masterpiece. The curries are light and delicious, and taste as though they were expertly made right in someone's own kitchen. The biryanis are incredibly fresh with well-balanced ingredients, while the Gobi Manchurian/Chicken starters are equally excellent. The naans are absolutely sensational, too, with their soft texture that melts in the mouth. And the drinks are equally delightful – I recommend the Rose milk and Mango Lassi, both of which were perfect.

Finally, I would like to commend the staff for their hospitality. They were, quite simply, the best and made me feel like a valued customer. In fact, I wouldn't hesitate to drive an hour from Leander just to experience their great food and warm service again. I am writing this while the flavors are still dancing in my mouth. We pass this place on the way to Texas Keeper weekly, but tonight was the first time we stopped for food, but by god it will not be the last!

Husband is gluten free, and there were lots of GF options. We got butter chicken, saag paneer, and the aloo gobi curry. If you go here, spend the dollar and order the mixed pickles. It's pickled things marinated in a chili paste, and it goes with literally everything on the menu. I got the garlic naan, which was the perfect vessel to my mouth for the different flavors.

The outdoor patio was super casual and comfortable, or there is indoor seating if desired. The background music was super enjoyable, and everyone that came through had a smile on their face, probably in anticipation of this fantastic food.

There are no pictures because we couldn't get the food in our mouths fast enough, but believe me, it looked appealing...

Never had an owner blame me for their blatant mistake. I called in to confirm they received my order due to some internet issues. They confirmed my name and that they received my order. When I arrived they again confirmed they had my order and it would be ten minutes till it was ready. After the ten minutes, the manager or someone came out and proceeded to explain to me that he in fact never had my order and all those previous confirmations were a waste of time. The manager then proceeded to explain it wasnt his fault cuz my name sounded like somebody elses.

I get that internet issues occur, but when the employees try to blame me for their multiple confirmations of receiving my order, thats just too much.

(Edit: As you can see by their response, they still don't acknowledge or understand the core issue which is confirming my order multiple times and then failing...
