There were a few negative components to my experience with this company, but if William had used a more professional dialogue with me, I wouldn’t even have left a review.
My first issue was the poor communication between the delivery/set up. I received several emails in the days prior confirming that deliver would take place on Friday between 1-3PM. For whatever reason, I never received any communication that the delivery/ set up team was en route, and they were at my house at 10:30 AM. Fortunately, I was home and wasn’t tied up with my 1 year old and 4 year old.
The next issue came with the quality of the pumpkin bounce house. About an hour after the crew has left, I took my 4 year old in the backyard to try out the bounce house, and I noticed that the inside looked very filthy. There was black residue, which I thought was mud, all throughout it. On a positive note, when I called to disclose that information, a crew was sent out about an hour later to come clean it. They were unsuccessful in getting the black marks out. It was explained to me that “it was part of the unit now.” It looked very unattractive, but I was content knowing that they tried to clean it and that it was sanitized. If the delivery had taken place closer to the time of our event, this would have been a huge problem.
The next issue was the quality of the basketballs that came with the inflatable basketball hoop. 3 out of 8 balls were in poor shape. My husband tried to put air in them, and they wouldn’t stay inflated.
The biggest issue and main reason I am sharing my experience is how our children’s chair shortage was handled. One part of our order was a child’s table and 10 chairs. When the chairs were delivered and placed in my garage I didn’t count them. That is absolutely my fault and I have learned for next time. It was only brought to my attention that we were short one chair when the men were picking up the equipment. My husband was actually the one to set up the tables and chairs in our backyard, so of course he didn’t know how many were supposed to be present. We have absolutely no reason to lie about damaging a child size chair. If that were the case, we would definitely have been upfront about that and paid for the damage. William basically accused me of lying when I said that only 9 were delivered. I found his terse remarks very unprofessional. While I understand that being short one chair is problematic when the documents state that there are supposed to be a certain quantity, the exchange of words should have been more professional instead of accusatory. Of course they are running a business and can’t let people get over on damaging or losing equipment, so I’m not so concerned about having to pay a $12 fee for the “missing” chair, but I do not appreciate being accused of lying. A more appropriate response could have been, “I’m sorry ma’am, but our records indicate that 10 chairs were delivered,” instead of “not true.”
Needless to say, after writing this novel of a review, I won’t be utilizing this company...
Read moreWe decided to use Amanzi to rent an inflatable water slide for our Memorial Day & Birthday party. It had been raining the day before our party, so when the delivery drivers arrived they were instructed to not drive on the grass because their box truck would get stuck. They listened and unloaded the slide using a dolly to transport from our driveway to the grass. However, when they came back to pick up the rental they decided to not listen to our previous advice and backed out onto our grass to turn their truck. They were immediately stuck, ripping up our grass, and a distraction to our party. The drivers asked us for help and we went to see what we could do. Luckily for them we have the tools necessary to move them (a rough terrain forklift, that rents for $600 daily, and a chain).
Since we took our time and effort away from our guests, I called the next business day to see what they could offer us in return. Thinking that they would be THANKFUL that we saved them the cost of sending a tow truck 20 miles outside of city limits on a Saturday evening during a holiday weekend, instead when I brought up the idea of maybe offering the rental for free I was yelled the following things... "No, I am not paying you.”, “You want to go to court", "you want to speak with my lawyer”, “Let’s go to court", "I am not paying you, we can go to court”. The best one was "I should charge you for our guys getting stuck”. I was dumbfounded by what I was hearing because that is not at all how I expected the conversation to go, especially to a repeat customer. I never once brought up suing the company; I was simply asking what they could do for us since we took our time and equipment to help them. I am in complete shock at the poor level of customer service their representative/owner had towards me.
I hope none of you have to experience this horrible level of customer service & sadly, think twice about helping Amanzi should anything go wrong...
Read moreDo not hire!!! Worst experience I have ever had! The man they sent to our elementary school carnival (w/3,000 in attendance) was beyond rude. He used profanity every time he spoke & was the angriest person I have ever met. He unloaded in the wrong location & refused to move the items to be set up in the correct place. Multiple moms moved his items for him & he still refused to set up. He repeatedly yelled "F Off" and "F You" to our volunteers. This is all while children and parents are arriving. He went on a tirade & got in people's faces (including mine). All because he was asked to set up in the area that was indicated on the map that was provided. I spoke to his boss (through tears & while he was still screaming "F You" in my face...boss confirmed he could hear what he was yelling at me) & his boss told me to calm down. Did not send anyone to replace this angry & vicious man. Worst customer service combined with horrific treatment & insulting, condescending management. The manager was able to talk this vile man into setting the inflatable up, but then he verbally berated & glared at carnival attendees the rest of the night. We are mortified that Amanzi sent someone like this & did nothing to rectify the situation after they were informed. Do not hire Amanzi! They do not care who they send to your event. Austin Moonwalks also had multiple inflatables at our carnival & provided excellent customer service, prompt delivery & helpful employees. We will never use Amanzi again & will only use Austin Moonwalks. Please take our horrific experience & save yourself the tears & frustration that hiring...
