I stepped about one foot in the door with my family ( wife and 4 year old ) and an older worker ( Sylvia ) who was just lazily sitting on the bench quickly yelled “ You cannot bring in outside food . “ What is crazy is that it was empty and there was no customers as clearly she was just lounging around in the front bench. She was very rude and was more concerned about pointing out that the food was not to be brought in rather than being welcoming. My daughter was carrying a small bag from Popeyes with a dessert that was not opened. We planned to eat there and order food but we did not want to leave the food in the car that my daughter had so we decided to bring it in. That was not an option, they said they would not serve us unless we threw the food away. I debated putting the bag of desert in the car and come back and order. I decided the I spend too much on Dans and have been a long time client to be treated that way and even pleaded with the manager. They obviously don’t care. It is crazy because I saw people in there with YETI cups and other outside drinks eating inside. Sylvia was more concerned about making my daughter cry. I will not be going back to Dans and it’s sad because they actually have really good food. I could have missed it, but I did not see a sign stating you could not bring outside drinks and food. We went over to Hat Creek and they had no problem with my daughter carrying a desert from another store. Again I would understand if I brought a meal and only ordered little food, this was not the case. Good food, bad service. My daughter cried on the way out, I asked Sylvia what she thought about making my daughter cry. She shrugged her shoulders. Needless to say I won’t be ever going back to a Dans. Read moreI just had the worst customer service experience in a very long time from this location. I have been a customer of Dan's Hamburgers for decades; however, I can say it probably just came to an end. Recently, I started using this location because it is logistically advantageous for my car/gas money. The Manchaca location was my original location to purchase my food, but it is too much of a hassle at this point. I have had great experiences from the Buda location until this morning. I am aware that everyone is entitled to a bad day, but when you are dealing with customers who pay your salary. You need to take a step back to gather yourself when you are not feeling customer service friendly. The employee who took my order was rude from the beginning of my transaction until the end. I clarified my order at the window which sent her into a really bad attitude. Here's an idea, perhaps if you listened to my order in the first place, then I would not have had to correct it at the window so your attitude did not have to go from bad to worse. When they told me to pull up, she brought my order out. I actually offered a my bad to try to bring a positive to close out the transaction, but her attitude was dismissive. Therefore, I will not be going to Dan's anytime soon. I wish they were a member of the BBB but they are not according to my research. I called back after the order was still wrong and spoke to Daniel. He did apologize but I just felt like I needed to get this out. I refuse to spend money and be treated in that manner. Read moreArrived Sunday November 12, 2023 at around 3:15 p.m. ordered two 1/4 pound Hamburgers, order of Onion Rings one soft drink and one water. We noticed a lot of “horse play” followed by noisy laughter in the kitchen area. Except for the person clearing and cleaning tables and the light colored hair young cashier, everyone was in the kitchen having a good time. We received our hamburgers in a timely manner minus Onion Rings. They arrived about 2-3 minutes later and were placed on the Counter by one if the cook staff who promptly walked away. Went to pick them up and noticed they were very burnt. I flagged down the light haired cashier and once she noticed the burnt rings she stated “ those are burnt” and said she would get some more. I opted for fries and she promptly delivered them with an apology. Further she asked if she could bring us an order of Onion Rings and promised they would be done right. Great customer service! Not so much for cooks who appeared to be into giggling and laughing instead of doing their jobs. Further, the hamburger was NOT as good as we have had before. The bread was not even warm and the HB had the tomatoes and pickle all in the center. Forgot my onion and the lettuce was almost not there. Hmmm! I remember biting into a Dan’s Hamburger when the first bite was as good as the last. Maybe the small number of customers would indicate the reason for NO Customers and lack of quality and pride in making what used to be Great Hamburgers! Hopefully something...
