I don’t really have the ability to spend money on takeout often. Possibly once every few months or not at all so I’m pretty disappointed that I just spent a significant amount of my limited money on two pizzas that I have no interest in warming up and eating again.

I know most people love this place, but for those of you that are financially restricted, and can’t justify wasting money. Just wanna share some of my experience.

I wanna begin by saying that the girl upfront at the register was very sweet kind and beyond patient with all my questions and trying to figure out what I wanted. I’m looking for a New York style pizza as I don’t really prefer all that extra dough but don’t want something as thin as a thin crust.

When I kindly asked what would be the closest option to getting that New York style, the gentleman in the back who seems to possibly be the manager, said he had no idea what I was talking about as if I had invented a new style. I could’ve ordered online, but decided to come in instead so that I could see the difference between the thin crust and the regular hand tossed. There was nothing out on display and no way for me to see before I place my order.

On the menu, the thin crust is described as crispy, and even after reheating it in my oven more than once, it didn’t even hold up on its own. I had to fold it into multiple pieces just to avoid using utensils. Both were rubbery and a mess. Neither the crispy thin crust, nor the hand toss crust was able to be eaten by hand as you would expect.

As both of the pizzas also came with one topping I even asked about how some of them came so that I would pick what I wanted that wasn’t already available in the fridge at home. The basil was described as big leaf and instead it was almost nonexistent speckles of crispy shreds nor did it cover the whole slice.

This cost me over $26 even though they were on special and I can’t possibly reheat it. It was not worth this price tag. Again, I know plenty of people love this chain and for the most part, it was inviting and I will repeat that the woman upfront was friendly too, and had a smile… but if you’re looking for New York style pizza without a hole in your pocket, this is not the place.. it just didn’t feel like a fresh handcrafted pizza, but more like the...

We were visiting the area this weekend and were ready for some pizza. We were staying walking distance to this place and the reviews looked okay, so we went. One thing I want to say is that I was a little worried when I saw something about pizza buffet - I'm not a fan of buffets in general, but always thought that pizza buffets were really the worst of the buffets. We decided we'd go and just leave if it was a buffet place. We were pleased to see that it wasn't and I am SO glad we went. The crust is SO good - you're talking to a girl that will avoid eating the crust of the pizza in a way to save some calories. It was worth it to not worry about them here!!! (we ordered a pepperoni pizza, in case you were curious) We discussed the Chocolate Chip pizza but that seemed like a lot of food and we were leaving the next morning so opted out - however, I am still curious and would have loved to have given it a try. The staff was friendly. There's not a lot of contact since you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The place was clean and plenty of seating. My only concern was there was no sound dampening in the place, there weren't a lot of people there when we ate so we were fortunate that it wasn't too loud. I cannot imagine how noisy it is on a Friday or Saturday night. Otherwise, it was really REALLY good and I'd eat this pizza again! Thank you for...

Great pizza and even greater service! The owner Jamie took great care of me and my order that got delayed by a 3rd party order. She was kind and helpful. She had a delivery driver who was on his way to my neighborhood deliver my pizza. They got ZERO profit on my order due to it being 3rd party which i felt awful about. The driver was here in 5 minutes and didn’t even want to accept my tip. He also had great customer service! I feel like when your employees are happy it’s usually a reflection of leadership so she must be doing something right. I didn’t realize she was the owner until I called back to ask who I could speak to in management to compliment her service and she mentioned she was the owner. Well... had to leave a review since most people only leave reviews when they’re upset. Love me some Double Dave’s! Eat local! Support local business! And don’t order 3rd...

My family and I are stranded here in Buda over the weekend, after our vehicle broke down and has been towed to the local shop for a warranty repair. We ordered the “Big Dave” size the Works pizza and some cheesy bread sticks. Firstly this pizza was huge! We didn’t realize when ordering that this was actually an extra large (no complaints from this guy though!!) morning pizza! The taste was phenomenal, nothing was cheaply overpowering! You can taste the meats, the sauce and the cheese separately. Not like hot mush with tangy sauce like most other places! Truly a great pizza. Hopefully we get back on the road tomorrow, but if we ever get back through, I know where we are stopping for lunch or dinner!!
