Perfect Italian sandwich I must say.
Kudos to the two young ladies behind the counter, one slicing all the meats and the other putting the fresh toppings on the sandwiches.
I guess when I arrived, they must've received several online orders as i was the last one in line and when the young lady slicing the meats took my order, she was also prepping 3 other sandwiches. It was a sight to see: slicing meats and cheese and stacking them on the bread she had just sliced open - it was an assembly line and she was cranking these out.
The second young lady asked if I wanted it Mike's Way, and I confirmed but did ask her to go easy on the juice. She began loading the sammy with onions, lettuce and tomatoes, salt, pepper and added three dashes of vinegar and olive oil. At that point, she asked if the juice was enough. I said it was perfect then thanked her for asking as the last time I had this same sammy at another Jersey Mike's, they went overboard with the vinegar and my teeth hurt for like 3 years after that 🤪😬.
I was in and out in probably 5-6 minutes even though they were getting busy. I know nowadays finding good people to work behind the counter can be hard especially with the threat of Karens coming to place orders. I appreciate these two ladies for being super friendly and taking care of me and my hunger in...
Read moreUpon writing this review, I just completed my first visit at the Buda location. As a former employee of Jersey Mike's, I must say my experience here was severely poor. There were 2 employees on the line, and another in the back just watching. As I recall, customers come first. We were the only two in line yet it took us 10 minutes to get two cold subs during the slow period. We were helped up into the point of the register. The sprinkler only dressed 1 of our subs, wrapped it, and walked away into the back just looking around as if they were trying to keep busy. The other co worker sliced out our second sub, dressed it the wrong way, and carried out the rest of the steps by their self. As for a store that just opened up, I would expect excellent customer service. Banter all the way through the "14ft" There was little to no eye contact, and barely any communication between employees. It's sad when the customer has to remind the employee to cash us out, otherwise we could have walked out with free food.
The pros: - Store looks great Subs are the way you'd expect them to be say from Kyle and or Cedar Park.
The cons: - Poor customer service No communication
Hopefully they get their staff in order. Maybe I'll come back for a...
Read moreIs there an option for negative stars? I cannot believe what I just experienced.
Short story: don’t go to Jersey mikes in Buda. They don’t have bread and if they say it’s yours they’ll steal it right out from under you.
Arrived at 7:30pm for 2 sandwiches (they close at 9). We stood in line for quite a while. The guy who looks like the manager tells the customer behind my husband, “after this guy, we are out of bread.” As he points to my husband.
Then it’s our turn to order. The same guy who made the comment then grabs the last two bread loafs and carries them to the back. My husband begins to tell the lady behind the counter his order and she stops him to say they’re out of bread. My husband asks about the two loaves the guy just took to the back and mentioned what he had just said but her response was, “there’s nothing I can do about that.”
Everyone stood there in disbelief. The guy who took the loaves stood there and heard the whole thing and didn’t say a word.
We aren’t about to stand there and argue with people who make our food so we just left. I’m still in disbelief. No apologies or anything. What has this...
