Meridian instantly lands in my Top.Coffee places rank - no doubt about it. This spot had been on my list for a while, but since it was out of the way, I hadn’t made it until now. We happened to be passing by, saw it was nearby, and decided to stop in. What a find.
I didn’t research its history beforehand, but once inside, you can feel the legacy of the place. It has a cult-like charm, an atmosphere that suggests it’s been around for something more than just coffee. The interior is incredible - huge vintage maps, antique furniture, and an old service elevator that seems frozen in time. The bar is well-stocked, and the whole space has a refined but effortlessly cool vibe.
What makes Meridian even more unique is that it shares its space with other interesting businesses like Teal House Bakery and a vintage clothing shop. Instead of competing, they create this synergistic mix that makes the whole place even better. This is how shared spaces should work.
It’s not just a coffee shop - it’s a destination. Perfect for breakfast, evening drinks, meetups, or even a date. If you’re in the area,...

The only reason I gave it four stars: most of the outlets for computers are really tricky to get to. They are hidden underneath the church pew style benches and you quite literally have to get on hands and knees to plug in your devices. I'm able bodied so I did it for my table and the two sitting next to me, but the woman in a dress was unwilling to do so and for good reason. I wonder if there is an easier way to have them accessible, especially for those who aren't able bodied and can't have access to them.
Despite the outlet situation, I love this spot and truly is a Buda gem. Meridian is a favorite of my friend group and those I bring here...
Read moreA hidden gem in old town Buda! I can’t say enough about how cute this spot is. The ambiance, the live music, the coffee. All really amazing. I got a regular latte and I can taste how pure and creamy the beans were. The local artists playing were talented. The crowd was calm and there to have a good time or work/study. There’s a bar and coffee area and next to it in another room is a herbal medicine bar and bakery with this library book styled seating area.
All in all this is my new favorite spot. As I walked out I noticed they also offer random community events such as “paint and sip” and decided I’ll sign up for that. I’ll be frequenting this spot for sure.
100% recommend visiting this unique coffee and share community space. It has an...
