So I really wanted to like this place, but it was a fail. Pizza was ok, but here's my experience: I walked up to order a pizza, sign said "we're open, come in" but the door was locked. I called the number on the sign, they wouldn't even take my order through the door, and they said they needed to hang up the phone to keep the line clear, which left me at the front door wondering what I wasdoing still standing there. The lady inside passed me a menu through the door and said "call back when you're ready to order" and refused to take my order right there even though I told her I was ready to order. So I called the number back, placed the order. At the end, the lady said it would take 15 minutes, and asked for a tip. I advised her that I'd wait until the pizza was ready to decide my tip, expecting to sign the receipt and add a potential tipbased off my so far not so great experience. I walked next door to the cigar shop and had a great experience. Then came back 20 minutes later, checked the door was still locked and they refused to acknowledge me. So I followed the instructions on the door and texted a different number that I was ready outside (even though I was the only one there and it was obvious).I then waited on my truck an additional 3 minutes for the pizza to arrive, the lady handed the pizza and turned away back inside. I didn't even have time to remember the tip before the transacting was over and she was gone without asking me to sign a slip, I thought to myself, oh well the service sucked anyways. I left, it was a good pizza, not amazing but good. I left thinking the service sucked but I'll give them a second chance to do better... until today. the next day when I looked at my credit card slip. It wasn't the price of the pizza I was concerned with, it was that they went in and added a $2 tip... without my permission. Sure, I could call my credit card company and dispute it, but I don't care about the $2, it's the principal. If they need it that bad to steal out then they can keep it, congrats that you got that out of me, you've lost all my future potential...
Read moreAfter reading all the wonderful reviews, I was really disappointed with my first visit. The food was delicious, but the two waitresses could have had a better attitude. The host was friendly and advised us to sit at the bar while we waited for a table to be cleaned. As one became available I asked her if we could sit at the corner table, she said yes. As I sat down the waitress Holly (I think that was her name) rudely asked me if the host sat me down there. I told her yes and explained the situation. She then asked me a second time and became annoyed when I said yes, she was rude to the host, and was complaining to other employees. We sat at the table for about 15 minutes until a different waitress approached us. She also seemed annoyed and was short and rude with her answers. After we finally got our food, a pizza and a salad. I asked the waitress for 2 more plates so we can use for the salad (the plates they provide are small) then Holly rudely answers that I already had plates. I asked her for 2 more and she said "isnt that a plate right there?" Pointing at the empty plate my partner had. When I told her I wanted 2 extra plates for the salad she rolled her eyes and turned to the waitress who was attending us. While at the bar, we talked to the friendly bartender and she mentioned it had been a busy day. I understand days get busy and people get exhausted, but that is not an excuse to be rude...
Read moreI would probably give 3.5 stars if I could. I wanted to like this little place more because it's in my "home town" so to speak but overall I wasnt really 'impressed' so to speak. Like the review says it was okay. This was my first time visiting and it was on my lunch break in the 1 o'clock hour when the activity was slow and I was greeted immediately, but after being seated my server wasnt what I'd call attentive he was pretty much there when he needed to be. The salad I got with the pick two lunch special was good, as well as the ranch dressing which I love. When I got my pizza it was a little burnt on the edges which I wouldn't say ruined the flavor but definitely dampered it some. It didn't take very long for me to get the one slice, but for the 5 people in there who were already served I wouldve expected 10 minutes versus 20 but thats without my knowledge of cook time. Also less important but significant to me my server walked from one end of the restaurant to the other on his cell and disappeared for a bit which seemed unprofessional to me. Not sure of their cell policy with employees but I'm not allowed on mine in front of customers. Over all I'd come back, give it another shot for the fact that the flavor of everything was decent but it's not one I'd rant and rave about. I think they might do better business wise if you could order over the phone too. That's often a given with...
