Came here late to grab a quick bite. My girl doesn't eat meat so she usually gets a fillet of fish. At the menu there is no fillet we can see so I ask if they have them. The server says that they don't serve the fillet of fish after midnight. So basically I need to go somewhere else but I'm locked in the drive through and have to wait 10 minutes before I can get out.
What is the benefit with the limited and now timed menu? When breakfast was offered all day I thought it was great I work odd hours and that meant I could enjoy breakfast faire at at My breakfast time. Now breakfast is no longer available when I want to eat it. I really don't understand why this is the direction McDonald's is going. The eggs and fish and other ingredients to make breakfast and fillets of fish are all still there in the refrigerator, the only thing that changes is the clock. McDonald's does not have a huge menu to start with and I just want to know what it is that is driving these decisions.
As far as I'm concerned until McDonald's offers healthy menu choices that recognize the large number of people that do not eat meat I'll be passing the golden arches on my to Carl's Jr., Jack in the box, Wendy's, del taco, taco bell, and a growing number of independent restaurants that offer more than French fries and soft drinks to non meat eaters. McDonald's also needs to offer peanut topping for their sundays . I am aware that certain people have nut allergies but other sizable chains like Sonic safely provide nuts for their customers that desire them.
The position McDonald's has attained as the ubiquitous fast food provider in the United States carries with it an obligation to offer a reasonable choice of menu items to cover a normal range of...
Read moreIt was Tuesday July 22nd at around 6 pm and I was getting dinner for our family. I ordered a BigMac, Filet-O-Fish, 2 Chicken Sandwiches, and a Large French fries. The cost was $21.45. The lady at the first window ask me if I wanted a receipt and I said yes just in case there was a mistake in the order. When I drove up to the second window the girl read off the order to me and I said that was correct. She handed me the bag and I left and drove about a block and looked to see if everything was in the bag that I ordered. The 2 chicken sandwiches were not. I drove back and walked inside and explained to them the issue. The girl who gave me the order at the drive through window told the Mgr that she put them in the bag. The Mgr. was very rude. I told them that I wouldn't have come back if everything was in the bag. Also, the French fries were not hot and the Mgr. was refusing to replace them. I said to them that I wanted my money back and they didn't offering to give me my money back. They immediately rushed to fix the order. The girl finally put the 2 chicken sandwiches in a separate a bag and gave me another bag of French fries which were still not very for hot. When I got home, we had to re-heat all the food. I live just a few miles from there and will never go back to this McDonald's on the corner of Artesia Blvd. and Beach Blvd. In Buena Park, again. My fiance asked me where I went and she told me, she also had received very poor service at that location in Buena...
Read moreI really hate placing an order on the self serve kiosk but there was no one at the register to take an order. So I tapped away on the screen and placed my order. After making payment at the end of the process the kiosk screen said my order would be brought to me.
After nearly 15 minutes with no food landing on my table I went to check on the status of my order. I found my order just sitting there at the pick up counter. When I asked how long my order had been waiting and why it wasn't brought to me like the kiosk said would happen. The pick up counter person said they were too busy to bring the food to my table (just in case I was listening for my number to be called ... never heard my number called out either).
At this point I was no longer interested in the (now cold?) food and requested a refund. Ha! I was told I'd need to wait for a refund. After saying loudly and firmly I wasn't waiting any longer a supervisor sorted out this situation could escalate and found the time to process my refund.
From what I could see the restaurant wasn't really very busy just disorganized. They seemed to have plenty of staff on hand. I find it amazing how some McD's are well tuned machines and others are just a cluster.
Apologies for the wall of text regarding my aborted sausage...
