I don’t normally do this, but needless to say I’m a bit annoyed. I live down the street closer to DQ, but I always go here instead cause it’s a local business. Probably not anymore if y’all find it cool to treat animals better than patrons. I walk up to order at 9pm and the window slams open, the woman that opened it scurrying away. No hello, nothing. Cool. Before ordering I say hello, she ignores me, and when I asked if I could put hard ice cream in my shake she frustratingly says no, not telling me what my options were. I awkwardly ask her what flavors I can put in cause literally every other ice cream shop I’ve been to can do that no problem, and she again very frustrated points them out to me, just staring me deep in my soul until I told her what I wanted. I give her a flavor that isn’t hard ice cream and she stops, laughs to her coworker like I said something wrong, and looked back at me once again like she wanted to kill herself. At this point I wanted to walk away cause I genuinely felt unwelcome, but my partner had just gotten a procedure which is why we were there. She takes my girlfriend’s order, and halfway through her face randomly lights up. The minute she finishes taking my payment she immediately engages with a puppy, said nothing else to us, and we sorta just stood there until she told us to move. All of a sudden this woman doesn’t hate her life and is so happily greeting a dog and two other people who walked up. They order three items, get the best service (including a hello and goodbye, wow!) and even get their items before we did. I get my stuff way after these people have left, mind you they ordered way after us, they say nothing to us, and my shake is covered in ice cream. I turn to ask for a napkin cause now my hands are messy and the woman angrily grabs my napkins, says nothing when I say thank you, and slams the window closed…what? I mean I’d say it was cause I was black but she seemed perfectly fine with the black dog…maybe she just don’t like black PEOPLE? But then again you work in Kenmore…why hate black people and work in such a black area? Go to a country club with that attitude, they’d love it out there. If you’re gonna be like that at least mask it, that genuinely ruined my night. I expect that behavior in Orchard Park, not in my own hood...

I have worked in customer service for years and never would I do a service for one person and not do the same for the next. It was only the lady and my self so I’m not sure why she received service and not me …. At this time there was still 5 mints left until close….. I would hate to believe it’s because of the color of my skin ……there is really no good reason to turn one customer especially if it was just one left …. I’m very upset and will never patronize hanna’s frosty...
