So we are from Virginia and we're passing thru unsure if this area counts as true NY pizza. So we found the place with the best reviews and this place caught our attention. My thoughts: - Know what you want before you walk in. It was busy and seems very popular but we didn't know what we wanted and ended up just getting pepperoni because we didn't want to be in the way and lose out on ordering before it got busier. - There is a place we go to in VA and it's called The Italian Store, their pizza is phenomenal so we were kinda expecting to have something the same or better. - Over all the pizza is good, the sauce is good and the pizza was a little sweet, spicy and savory however the cheese got a little hard kinda fast. I like my cheese to not get there that fast. Also I like a little more sauce on my pizza and they seem to go a bit lighter. But again it's really good pizza. They had cheese melted on the crust and it's baked to be soft but crispy at the edges. - I think everyone has their preferences, this wasn't mine but it was still really good. I might also be a bit biased because I love The Italian Store Pizza so much. - The people were great and quick! Btw.... If you want a HUGE pizza... This IS the place to get it. We saw a huge box of pizza going out! Damn!

This is by far my favorite place to get the “itis” (pronounced—> eye-tis) and a gout attack whenever I visit the Nickel City aka Buffalo NY. You can ask to have your wings grilled and not fried! Who does that???? This guy!!!! Wings were juicy and drenched in Buffalo sauce. My friends wings were maple syrup glazed and tasted like something new and hip and delectably tantalizing. I mean these were the perfectly cooked and seasoned wings you’d expect after traveling a thousand miles just to explore the city of deliciousness. Then there is the pizza…. All I can say is honestly believe they have some Italian chefs held captive in the kitchen who are forced to create the best pizza on the planet in order to attempt to win their freedom! Real mozzarella cheese tasty flaky crust, homemade sauce, Buffalo chicken prepared by buffalonians, and these slices were gigantic. I ate my slice as I was waiting for the chicken to come from the grill and I felt the fullness for the slice I was chomping on and my thoughts were, “ oh wow, I ordered pizza too…” need I say more? Yes!!! Buffalo NY is the only place on earth you’ll find a delicious non carbonated beverage called Loganberry. The Loganberry Gods make it and it takes 8trillion years to harvest. Enjoy!!!

We ordered a pizza today and it was absolutely disgusting. Delivery was pretty quick considering the busy weekend but once the food arrived, it was completely raw, cold and inedible. One of the worse slices I've had in my life. When we called, the employee was apologetic and accommodating but said we needed to send back the pizza in order to get another. Luckily we didn’t throw it in the garbage (where it belongs). We are new to the area and will never, EVER, order from here again. I plan on sharing this with colleagues and friends so they don’t waste their time. Update: After waiting another two hours for a new pizza, they sent another raw pizza! Absolutely terrible service and disgusting food. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!

So I ordered food, a taco steak and cheese Cos 2 be precise and a soda. To be delivered first, they put the wrong street name. Bring it from there all the way to here to the right address. And it's cold. To soda's warm, we call tell him the one manager says they're gonna replace it. I'm bringing a new one. Never showed up was. I'm waiting almost 2 hours now for them to rebring it so call back. There's a different manager or something apparently gonna ask. Do you gotta microware you serious? We ordered pizza from a pizza place and supposed to be hot when it gets here. Not cold and then you're the nerve to Ask if we got a microwave even if we did. That's not what we paid for we didn't pay to heat up our food. Then they say they want the number. The order number whatever they play games still they didnt replace it that's the worst service I've ever had in my life and I've used to always go there all the time. My family's always ordered from them. I guess not no more because it's changed because even the last order I made was made wrong completely wrong and it was cold when I got here as well and I'm allergic to tomatoes and it had tomatoes on it and they wouldn't replace it either. They say they would and they never show. Up, they don't replace it and they don't refund anything. So this is oh, there's a second time now. It's time to I'll be ordered in...

La Nova is a place for me that despite some grievances is so good at the core I can't give any less then 5 stars. The crust strikes a great balance between the pastry like quality and just the right thickness without being overly airy. The pepperoni is fresh sliced and thick with a good spice to it and consistently generous without being overpowering. The sauce hits the mark of having both some spice with a touch of punchy sweetness. The cheese is a bit more generous then average but is high quality and spread to the edge and evenly. Most competitors I usually find myself feeling there is one aspect even if small I would improve on where La Nova there is nothing I would change when it is done right. That said the consistency can be spotty mostly in terms of how well done it is cooked. Unlike some competitors I do not feel it is best well done but even so it is still good. The service can at times be slow and not the most enthusiastic but understandable considering the location and range of people they deal with. But as I stated at the start to summarize I find the core recipe is so good that even with some variation of how well done it is cooked and the spotty service it is well worth the exceptional tasting overall product time...
