If you are looking for a place where you can be treated unfairly by the staff and ownership, this may be the place for you.
I have been going to this club for many years (the Buford location dating back to the early 2000s). Though my wife had a minor, unnecessary "we're going to kick you out" experience with their bouncer just the weekend prior (for "touching the stage" by handing a necklace gift to our good friend in the band playing that night), the following is about my experience at their Johns Creek location, where I have always brought along a group of friends (minimum 5/maximum 18+):
Last night (9/11/15 around 11pm) a woman told the bar staff that I had !put LSD in her drink! I was right in the middle of the main floor area in front of the stage with my wife (of 18 years) and three of our good friends, videoing the band's performances (at their request!), when a woman asked me to follow her. She was accompanied by a uniformed Johns Creek police officer. I followed them out to the main entrance where 37M security personnel, the police officer, and Joe White (an owner) began confronting me with the very surprising to me allegation. THIS IS SOMETHING I DID NOT DO, and I tried to make that clear to them several times. I voluntarily emptied my pockets to show them I had nothing of the sort on me (nothing of the sort ANYWHERE, for that matter) and that the woman making the claim was completely making it up. I barely even remember the woman (who was making the false claim) from the dance floor area, and have no clue why she did this. She even showed up at the front door several minutes later with (a friend?) who said she witnessed me pour something in her drink! This was a COMPLETE FABRICATION and I was assertive in maintaining my innocence, that this was a blatant lie, mentioning what I was doing while I was in there and who I was with. I know members of the band well, and they all knew where I was and what I was doing as they performed. I know A LOT of people in the area and have known several of the band members for years--I've probably seen them play at this location 6-8 times, probably about 12+ times at Coo Coo's Nest. I mentioned that I thought I knew his (Joe White's) ex wife, that she lived in Bridgetowne Subdivision, in hopes he may realize that I am not "just some random guy." It was at that point that Joe White abruptly ended my interrogation, had $10 cash returned to me by the security personnel--though I had spent more to pay for the admission of other members of our party--and had me escorted out of the club by the police officer.
"Kicking me out" was completely unnecessary and unfair. I expressed my shock and amazement to all of the interrogation party that someone could just make up a blatant lie like the woman did and there was zero accountability, no repercussion for her whatsoever. There was absolutely NO EVIDENCE that I did this, and allegations of someone putting a dangerous and illegal hallucinogenic in someone's drink was quite a serious allegation; so serious that the police officer [should have] taken more serious and official action to investigate, but his role was merely as a uniformed "bouncer." At no point did they allow me to introduce any witnesses from [my] party to counter such claims.
I waited for about 20-30 minutes while the rest of my party found out I had been "thrown out." This was also an assault on my character and good name. I had several people who knew me come out to talk with me about what happened.
I have no plans to return to this business, nor their original Buford location, which I was at just 2 weekends prior seeing the same band, and I will make sure, as best as possible, that none of my friends do, either (I am usually one of the main people who influences such outings...

Been to this place countless times over the past 5-6 years. Spent thousands here. Subscribed to their live streaming deal for a year to support them through the covid nightmare. Referred tons of people too. Taken groups of 20+ to shows here more than a few times.
The Bands have been great fun. I like to support local businesses and local music.
Sadly, the manager is apparently not clear on the meaning of customer service. We've had issues with her before but we'd let it go. Overcharges, incorrect orders, and she always made us feel it was our fault when we looked for resolution. Over time one would hope to see improvement, but in this case, that has not happened.
Tonight was the last straw. They lost a loyal, repeat customer.
I am subscribed to their annual, live streaming service. You're supposed to get free cover, tickets for shows and a 20% discount on your tab. Tonight was the first time I tried to use these benefits.
Our waitress had to take my phone to show the manager our subscription. Guess they do not trust their employees. Bad business #1.
The waitress returned saying that the manger wasn't satisfied with the screen cap I pulled up of my account. Dated and serialized since September 2020. Bad business #2.
So I told the waitress to just have the manager come to us. We sat and waited, but no one came. There was maybe 50 or 60 people in the place and the manager would not even come to my table to verify my subscription for her waitress. Bad business #3.
We felt so bad for the waitress. No one at the door gave us any problems when we showed them on our way in. All the manager had to do was come over, since she wanted to see something on my phone and I did not want to send it off unlocked again.
Owners... Fire her or send her for customer service training. In my opinion she is not an asset, as is.
I will never again enter this place if she's still there. I'll never tell anyone to go here again either.
I'm truly sad that this is the case. Thank God there are other places right up the road to...
Read moreWent for a second time on a Friday evening around 5:30. The cover band warming up was incredibly loud, off-key, and swearing (dropping the f word). I could barely hold a conversation with my table even though we were as far away as possible from the stage. Other families and couples were turning around and heading right out the door upon hearing this band.
We ordered the unlimited appetizer deal after confirming the deal with the bartender prior to getting seated. The food was your typical bar food with nothing to write home about. When trying to order more appetizers after our second round, the waiter told us he would have to charge us more and that the deal was BOGO appetizers and not unlimited as stated in their ad and confirmed by the bartender. Instead of confirming with manager, the waiter stood by his understanding of the deal and would not honor the deal. We reluctantly paid our check and spoke with the fill-in manager before leaving. She was equally unaware of how the deal worked and how her staff was executing the promotions and made excuses for the confusion without offering to correct the situation. This is the second time that I have come to this restaurant and tried to use one of their promotions, and it is the second time that I’ve been lied to and had to pay more or not get the goods/services that they promoted. This is unscrupulous business practice and I won’t be visiting this establishment ever again. I live right down the block from this place and I will never recommend it to anyone that I know. I will promote other restaurants around them with fantastic food and service like Italian Pie and Aqua Terra. This is a shady business with poorly trained staff, a lack of managerial presence, and loud/obnoxious background...
